It wasn't fun, lol. I've still never gotten a straight answer about what exactly went on.

Back when I was a dispatcher in Georgia, one of the women's prisons there had a volunteer firefighter station. Granted they never faced anything like this in my time working 911, but still, they were some brave, badass women who wanted to help as best they could.

They were in the middle of it. I don't remember much of how it happened because I try to block it out, but I just remember being awake at some point and begging them to stop. But since my BP was so low, they said they couldn't give me more anesthesia and had to finish.

For whatever reason the anesthesia didn't work, they couldn't give me any more because my blood pressure was dangerously low, and at that point it was "we have to get this done" so they just finished it up.

I watch this video every now and then when I need a boost, lol. My fave part is how she throws down the papers. A brilliant, badass move.

I just want an answer. They have actual, medical proof that my heart stops/drops heart rate, but since the pacemaker was only pacing less than 10%, they think I don't need one, I guess?

I wore a heart monitor for 2 weeks which showed the dropped heart rates, but they've offered nothing except "go have a sleep study, maybe you have sleep apnea." And yeah, I was bawling like a baby throughout the whole surgery. Do not recommend.

All I've gotten is a shrug and "Maybe you have sleep apnea, idk."

I still haven't gotten an explanation about my heart issues, after collapsing at work, 1 pacemaker, 1 pacemaker replacement where I was awake and in pain for the entire surgery, 1 wound dehiscence, 9 days in the hospital, 1 pacemaker explantation, and 2 weeks of heart monitoring.

Doctors being dismissive especially if it's a female. Hey, you might have sick sinus syndrome, might not, oh your heart rate keeps dropping? Maybe lose weight. It's so frustrating.

I can tell already I'll be watching Cranium with my eyes half-covered. Now whether that's due to the coughnospoilerscough or freen's habit of always using her tongue while kissing Becky remains to be seen.

I didn't really see anything insufferable in the post, from anyone, but that's just me. I think you explained your/the church's position well, and I think a lot of people see this as more of a "heart" matter, if that makes sense, so they were resistant to you.

I laughed. I marveled at Ariana's talent. Held space for Defying Gravity. Sang along. Cried, not just for Elphaba and Glinda but for myself too. Sadness that I had lost something I once loved, and gratitude that it has come back to me in a beautiful way. I listen to a song from Wicked every day now.

Then I heard about the casting of the Wicked movie musical, and I was skeptical. I'm sad to say that the casting of Ariana had me telling myself the musical would be ruined. But I had no plans to see it anyway, so it didn't matter. But then my best friend persuaded me to see the movie.

Up until this year, I wasn't able to read or see or hear anything Wicked related, because to me, Wicked was the girl who broke my heart, because we were brought together by the musical and so intertwined in our love for it and each other. And now she was gone, and Wicked hurt too much.

Once upon a time, hundreds of years ago, I adored the musical Wicked. And then I met a girl who adored Wicked, and I, in turn, adored her. And then, "as they so often do," the girl I adored broke my heart. The thing with trauma is that, as she took her love away from me, she also took Wicked.

I just watched Conclave last week! Enjoyed it immensely even if I wasn't altogether sure about its accuracy. A lot of moral food for thought.
