For Cad Bane’s last hurrah, I placed Top 8 at the Austin PQ with Greef Data Vault. It was my first ranked placing in a Premier competitive event. Swiss 0-2 Maul Blue Force 2-0 Piett Red 2-1 Boba Yellow 2-1 Cad Blue 2-1 Vader Yellow Top 8 0-2 Cad Blue It was a great day! Lone hero in Top 8. #SWU

#SWU Prerelease #2 - My card pool was absolutely cracked. Built two VERY strong decks. Padme Red AND Jabba Green! Both builds had control synergies with Padme more aggressive and Jabba better top end & removal options. Went with Jabba for the 3 round Bo3 event and he did not disappoint!

New idea for #SWU - Sealed Trilogy! 12 packs 12 leader choices 168 playables All other trilogy rules apply - • No sideboard • Each player bans 1 opposing deck • Must win two games, one with each remaining deck. Tested with a set 6 booster box. Had good results!

Decent showing at my first #SWU @unlimitedffg.bsky.social Prerelease event for #SecretsOfPower. 4-1 overall in Bo1 games using Dedra Blue! • Sabe Red 1-0 • Leia Green 1-0 • Jabba Green 1-0 • Leia Red 0-1 • Satine Red 1-0 Fun design on Dedra. She can play aggro or control, depending on her pool.

Yooooo. This #SWU leader is suuuuuper interesting. Repeatable deploy. Possible discard recursion. The ultimate resource row manipulator. Really like this design. Quite the deck building puzzle. #BailOrgana

I’ve been working with @swucube.bsky.social to revive the #SWU Battle Box series on his channel. It’s one of my favorite series about what the game can do on the casual level. This is highlighting a Nala Se build from Twilight (with some other sets sprinkled in)! #StarWarsUnlimited #SWUBattleBox

Had a rough time at #SWU locals last night, going 0-2 (and getting the final bye) with Gar ECL. Both match losses to Anakin 28Blue - a matchup I typically feel good about. I threw myself a pity party and purchased a prerelease box for some sealed build practice. What would you build with this?

Mavrik @ajmavrik.bsky.social · 15/08/2025

Now I think I understand why the #SWU developers were high on Legal Authority from Shadows of the Galaxy. Turns out, it’s real good in set 5 Gar Saxon… which just happens to be what they were developing/playtesting when Set 2 released. Also, LOF Vader is nutty. As he should be.

As part of a deal to get a buddy to go to a #SWU Legends of the Force prerelease, I had to agree I would, in turn, go to a CrossFit class with him. Time to pay up tonight. The things I do for SWU. 😑

First world problem - It would really be nice if my local LGS would decide & post the #SWU format of the week more than a day prior to the event. I guess I should count myself lucky they do different formats every week to keep things from getting stale. But it does make it difficult to plan.

#SWU Galactic Championship Update Having a great time so far! Day 1 was a little rough on the event organization side of things but they got it cleaned up for day 2. Played Kenobi Vergence Temple in the main event (Fri) and lost my first match on the last action when time was called. Bummer!

What's the story behind the design of Legends of the Force? Funny you should ask that, as I wrote a whole article about it for today! The Force mechanic went through so much revision that I didn't even have time to talk about Hidden 🤣 #FFGStaff starwarsunlimited.com/articles/beh...

This is a fantastic article by @davflamerock.bsky.social. I appreciate the self reflection of the #SWU development team… and the transparency. It’s important to celebrate successes but also acknowledge & learn from mistakes. For me, it solidifies trust in the game and its longevity. Kudos! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

What leader are YOU most looking forward to in LIMITED (draft/sealed) formats in #SWU Legends of the Force? #StarWarsUnlimited #LegendsoftheForce

000

Mavrik @ajmavrik.bsky.social · 25/06/2025

A little tier list I cooked up for #SWU Set 5 Leaders. However, this is SPECIFIC to limited. I might be a little too high on Avar but her ability seems generically useful. I don’t think I am too high on Cal though. He has been awesome in initial testing, especially paired with blue or red.

And now for something different. Friday night #SWU set 4 Twin Suns combo draft/sealed event recap. 40 card TS deck. Limit of 3 of an individual card. No leader alignment restriction. 3 sealed packs -> Draft 3 packs -> 2 sealed packs I landed on Lando/Luke Yellow.

Participated in my first #SWU Planetary Qualifier today. 73 total players in Austin, TX. Brought Han2 Data Vault. My goal was a winning record in my first ever competitive level event (Success!). And to not get any judge warnings (Fail!). Note: Handwritten deck lists need subtitles.

THE GOOD - Leader side ability. Free ping when playing non unit Force cards is good hero control. Combines well with Sorcerous Blast, Force Throw, Mystic Reflection, etc. THE BAD - 7 deploy with mediocre ability. Have to discard hand to draw two cards. 👎 Using Tarkintown too restrictive.

Yall don’t realize how effin excited I am that GREEN HERO might have the best leader in a set. And to have it be my favorite character in the saga?!? First time I might try to build a leader in all four aspects. #SWU #ObiWanKenobi

Saturday Night #TorchysTacos + Queso + Beer + #SWU = Damn good time Did testing on Qi’ra DV, Han2 DV, and Quinlan TT in advance of an upcoming PQ next weekend. Leaning towards Han2 but I do think Qi’ra is a tad stronger overall.

Been doing a little deck brewing for #SWU Set 5. I always liked the idea of Coordinate but early units were never strong enough to reliably survive. The recent additions of Gungi, Adi, Kenobi, Quinlan & Asajj units made this build a possibility. Ahsoka ECL - focusing on Force ground units.

000

Mavrik @ajmavrik.bsky.social · 04/06/2025

Yesssssss!!! See ya there boys n girls! As I fully expect to flame out day 1 of the main event, you will almost definitely see me at the Saturday draft championship and super sealed events.

000

Mavrik @ajmavrik.bsky.social · 01/06/2025

Results were great! Won 2 out of 3 games (was 3rd in the other), taking 1st at the event. Wedge is sneaky good in Twin Suns as his deploy is not so massive that he becomes a must remove target. At the same time, the combo of him & Mando created a lot of value while not making huge enemies.

100

Mavrik @ajmavrik.bsky.social · 31/05/2025

If you look at my feed, it is quite obvious the limited formats (both draft & sealed) are my absolute favorite way to interact & play #StarWarsUnlimited. Limited is new player friendly - everyone starts with a blank slate. Success comes through skill in deck building and flexibility in play style.

Mavrik @ajmavrik.bsky.social · 30/05/2025

Prepping for some Twin Suns action tonight with my first 80 card singleton deck. Wedge + The Mandalorian + Shield Generator Base (Blue30) = The Blue Wedgalorian Cheating out pilots is exhausting! Let me know what you think and if I should make any changes. #SWU #StarWarsUnlimited #TwinSuns
