I would agree! But I also think it is aiming for a much broader tone than the other two, leaving the performances pitched pretty perfectly in that respect. More low-brow with pulpier pleasures. At any rate I am so glad you're finally getting to enjoy it!

I have said it before and I will say it again: Rachel is one of the most underrated Final Girls in horror history for me. She is not the teenage near-saint that Laurie was; she's more relatably flawed. BUT! Like Laurie she's a full on fighter when it matters. I love her. Part 5 can go to hell.
