@Hagukh I was pulling weeds and saw a twig with what I thought might be a lichen. I took a picture and I guess it is two kinds. It was so exciting to see this just sitting there under my nose.
A growth on a small twig. Some are white bell shaped with black hair-like edges. Some are small light green little trumpets. There is also a mass of light green strands. I think this is a lichen.

Mushroom popped up by my kitchen window. I've not seen one like this before. I wonder if more will come up. Chlorophyllum molybdites comes up with an image search.

I needed to move past the 4 commands I knew for using vi editor. I went to PaperBackSwap where I have sent a few used books and had some credits and was delighted to find a copy of Learning the vi Editor (4th Ed) It's got that plastic comb binding so the […] [Original post on social.vivaldi.net]

I discovered Musikcube today and it is so much easier to use than cmus. I hope to write a post on it soon. So far the only downside I see is that I couldn't import my playlists. But making new ones within the program wasn't hard. You move from block to […] [Original post on social.vivaldi.net]

The Hurricane path I like to see as I turn to NOAA to see what's ahead for Florida.
NOAA drawing of hurricane path curving sharply north and east instead of heading for the Gulf of Mexico.

@thestorygraph I love the new addition to #TheStoryGraph -- The Pause selection for books. I had two books I stopped reading but plan to go back to. "Pause" is perfect for me. Thank you @nodunayo for all the hard work you do. Here's a picture of my current read page on the site:
Four books with info on where I am in reading them, etc. There are two sections, Current reads and Paused.

I've had this cup for several years and love de Chardin though I barely understand him, I guess. This quote is making sense to me these days. Love alone is capable of uniting living beings in such a way as to complete and fulfill them, for it alone takes […] [Original post on social.vivaldi.net]
