Some people might be off-put by the specks but: when I made the apple pie, I saved just a little bit of the cooked, sugary, apple concoction (apple reduction) and used it in an old fashioned and it's pretty damn good. So is the pie! (I mostly make the pie for my wife as a pick me up)
