My biggest criticism of this, as both a full-time software engineer and a part-time freelance video editor, is that this is still functionally equivalent to just *generating* a video. You’re not asking it for ideas/caveats on stylistic edits, you’re just letting the AI do it all.

Saw a post of an editor who made a ChatGPT-style app that hooks into Premiere and edits for you. I’m calling it right now: this is going to lead to “vibe video-editing” and that’s not a good thing in the slightest. Honestly this just makes me sad.
