The SAVE Act: This legislation is a “solution” in search of a problem. There is virtually no evidence of any non-citizens voting in an election. The sole point of this law is to erect barriers to prevent married women (who have taken their husbands’ last name) and less wealthy citizens from voting

Women should NOT have to do one single extra thing to vote than a man does.

@bboyack.bsky.social on Sinners: One of the most iconic movies of the decade so far. MBJ and Caton great, Steinfeld robbed of nom but Mosaku is great. Star is behind-camera work—color grading, editing, soundtrack perfection. Coogler's best directing yet—better than Black Panthers. Watch on HBO Max.

AJB (dark mode) @ajboyack.bsky.social · 26/01/2026

@bboyack.bsky.social on Sentimental Value: Dramedy with a realistic family dynamic, great performances from Skarsgard, Rensieve, Fanning. Setting feels too boring/hollow though. Recurring fake movie scenes got old. Quality's there but could’ve been better fleshed out.

AJB (dark mode) @ajboyack.bsky.social · 26/01/2026

@bboyack.bsky.social on The Secret Agent: Brazil's likely back-to-back International Feature winner. Slow-burn period piece meets tense red-scare thriller w/ lots of '70s aesthetic. Great cast & message but much problems w/ pacing—should've been half hour shorter. Still warranted Best Picture nom.

@bboyack.bsky.social on One Battle After Another: This year’s Oppenheimer. Revolutionary group story with expert camera work, soundtrack, and performances by DiCaprio, Del Toro, Penn. One of best cinematic experiences. More relevant now than ever, proving PTA’s timelessness. Watch on HBO Max!

AJB (dark mode) @ajboyack.bsky.social · 26/01/2026

@bboyack.bsky.social on Marty Supreme: Everyone's terrible and it's great. Tricks you into thinking it's normal sports movie then escalates brilliantly. Clinical study on how pursuing greatness brings out the worst. Inconsistent pace but well-realized performances & masterful score make it worth it.

AJB (dark mode) @ajboyack.bsky.social · 26/01/2026

@bboyack.bsky.social on Hamnet: Should be great in theory with Zhao directing and performances by Mescal, Buckley, Alwyn, etc. Performances and costumes stunning but story drags with no highs. Feels half hour too long. Worth it - only if you're really into Shakespeare.

AJB (dark mode) @ajboyack.bsky.social · 26/01/2026

@bboyack.bsky.social on Frankenstein: Guillermo del Toro applies horror tricks to classic story. Gives Victor and monster nuance most adaptations lack. Oscar Isaac and Jacob Elordi act well. Excellent editing, ending will make you cry. Doesn't deserve R rating—watch with your teens (on Netflix)!

AJB (dark mode) @ajboyack.bsky.social · 26/01/2026

@bboyack.bsky.social on F1: The villain of the best picture race. Generic 2hr40min racing blockbuster with weak Brad Pitt performance. Should've been Eddington or Kiss of the Spider Woman instead. Nothing special—trite and cliché. If you’ve seen a sports movie before, you’ve seen F1.

AJB (dark mode) @ajboyack.bsky.social · 26/01/2026

@bboyack.bsky.social on Bugonia: Glad to see this nominated despite being the worst of Yorgos’ 2020s films. Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, Aidan Delbis exceptional—Stone might win her third best actress award this decade, I just wish the latter two got noms too. Perfect for fans of weird films.

My 12yo daughter and I take media breaks together and go outside to sit and “touch grass.” We sat on a blanket, she sketched this tree, and I took this photo. It’s just one - of a million - stunning autumn trees. And just one peaceful moment in a tumultuous world. #ColorADay #OrangeSun
