I realised pretty quickly. I flagged it to security and they used cctv to track them through the airport. It looked like a genuine mistake, and I got my bag back, so all’s well that ends well 😅

I admire that tickets were in-person only, rather than cashing in on virtual tickets. There was a real push to foster real-life connections, reinforced with the various events leading up to the conf itself.
