Was reading the Dreams on a Pillow newsletter #4 and woah China number one??? the video in question www.bilibili.com/video/BV1TJ8... Rasheed's Bilibili channel space.bilibili.com/374497639347...

"Dreams on a Pillow catches fire in China!"
"Last month we saw an increase in wishlists and pledges, and we discovered the source: A thoughtful video about my work and Dreams on a Pillow by a chinese content creator on BiliBili (the Chinese equivalent of YouTube). The video generated over 700,000 views and 3,400 comments. Chinese players loved the game and support the project. Our team responded by translating the Steam store page into Chinese and I am now connecting with the Chinese gamer community through my new channel on BiliBili (close to 5,000 followers already!). I want to send a big thank you our Chinese supporters!"

According to Tanaka Yoshimasa (joined starting Destiny PS2 and worked on its battle design, lead game designer on Xillia, director on Berseria) Zelda was a big influence on 3D Tales of It'd be really cool if OOT Remake is good enough to influence games like that again in a good way #zelda #talesof

48:50 Theme 3 - Battle System

Graces battle system

The discussion started with the Graces F battle system as it was voted best battle system in the series in the January 2025 fan poll.

Tanaka explained he first needs to talk about Destiny PS2 remake and how he worked on the battle system there with Udou and Kagawa. After that, Tanaka went to work on Hearts' battle system while Udou and Kagawa went on Graces'. As they were each thinking about how to transfer their battle system ideas from 2D to 3D, one of Tanaka's main influences was The Legend of Zelda 3D games, and how they focus on 1 vs 1 duels. He talked about it with Udou san, who added some of his own ideas on top. That's how Graces' battle system was born, according to his own memories at least.

they'll do a banner with the other 31X food Styles for those who want them all KakinumaP noting these styles are really good for the new dungeon mode (if you're strong enough /understand the battle system well enough you can auto without them but yeah they're very useful for that)
