Truth is important. I don’t support the construction of data centers unless the center uses reclaimed waste water and uses a closed loop cooling system. It’s standard engineering now. Other reasons as well but we are talking about water here. When is the anti-Almond campaign starting?

AI is not a bubble. I know you want to believe it is a bubble, but it isn't. Might OpenAI become so financially unstable that it must be acquired by a big tech company? Maybe, but AI is not a bubble. AI usage is growing rapidly. 86% of VC money is going to AI companies. AI is not a bubble.

If you are against Medicare for All, why? It seems to me that being on the side of fewer uninsured and less financial ruin from medical bills is a no brainer. If Medicare is so bad why do 95% of retirees have it? Old people skew conservative but they aren’t getting private insurance instead.

Oracle was founded in 1977. Its quarterly revenues were about $10M and growing slowly until gen AI became a thing. Its quarterly revenue is over $15M now. Ed Zitron is saying Oracle could get pulled into extinction by OpenAI? I think Oracle knows better how to run their business than Zitron.

How did AI create the Saaspocalypse? Saas companies make money from user license subscriptions. AI companies make money from token usage. Customers deploy agents and buy fewer licenses to run their businesses so Saas revenue declines and AI revenue increases. Also, customer job losses.

Two decades too late some leaders are now interested in regulating social media. It’s not an easy issue to solve but that’s not a reason to have ignored it all these years. We face a similar decision with AI. Are we going to ignore it and let AI potentially lay waste to society?

AI as a technology is not a bubble. At some point there may an investment bubble related to investment in AI-related companies, but AI itself will not "burst" and no longer be relevant. It is the most transformational and impactful technology in our lives. Hate it all you like, it is here to stay

AI hate is pervasive. In some cases I understand, but it seems some critics don’t understand AI well. For example. Gen AI is impacting art and I haven’t spoken with any artists who are pro-AI. At the same time AI is embedded many places and these people don’t seem to realize.
