Thank you Rob. Really appreciate your comments

But perhaps if I'm going to reflect on it, it’s a sign of resilience, and although I've called it destruction of a polaroid, it’s not destroyed at all. It’s come through a lot of changes but it still retains beauty in the scars.

Part 5 is the final image. I had no real idea with what I was doing with this, just wanted to see how far I could change the original while still keeping it recognisable. (It was surprisingly hard to make it catch fire! Had to use a blowtorch in the end)

To touch this earth is to read a text written in centuries, a script that resists erasure. The feannagan of Ardnamurchan hold the scars of the Clearances and the strength of return. Pt 16 / Spiorad aird nam Murchan / Elemental I - Earth: www.rkphotographic.com/blog/2025/10...

Glendrian (depopulated settlement) West Ardnamurchan.

Glendrian wasn’t ‘cleared’ unlike many nearby communities, but its presence still remains with memory into deep time as it sits in the volcanic ring near Achnaha.

It’s Polaroid week once again so here’s my offering for day 1. Emulsion lift with embroidery added. I’m not on social media very much at the moment as life is lifing so apologies for lack of interaction x

Worldwide pinhole photography Unbelievably, I now live 5 minutes drive from what is described as the world’s largest pinhole camera (probably 😂) Had to take my #Pinsta with me so it was the first time I’d used it away from the safety of my garden!

I still have a lot of things from my childhood and now my grandchildren enjoy them too. Lift the roof and this becomes a musical box, playing a tune called Dolores. Or at least it did, now it plays a few notes very slowly. I got it in Switzerland travelling through on our way to Italy aged about 10

My timings were a bit approximate as my phone timer wasn’t playing ball but it seemed to work fine! I’ll take it out to a more interesting place than my back garden next time, now that I know what to do!

This might not look like the most exciting photo I’ve ever taken but I’m really pleased with it! I bought a Pinsta camera before Christmas and today was the day I finally got it out and used it. It’s a pinhole camera where you develop the direct positive paper in the camera itself.
