This is my favorite kind of angry op-ed because the author literally answers the implicit question you’d assume the piece is about in the second paragraph, before turning to the real focus: what the fuck is wrong with you

“There are, as always, logical explanations for such a phenomenon. In our algorithm-driven age, it’s entirely possible to design a curated world where you never encounter “Choosin’ Texas”: You don’t engage with country content, you don’t listen to country playlists, you don’t even remove your earbuds when you enter a coffee shop, should twang be coming out of the speakers. Gone are the days of the monoculture radio hit. Shared experiences are few and far between.”

Revisiting Driveclub for the first time in years and this game still gets a ton of shit and I will never, ever understand it. Most stunning racing game of its generation and it’s not close.

Cool, so only the ones that suck. Nice

Excerpt from a Verge article that reads: "Xbox employees recently started testing this new feature, after references to “enable Disc2Digital” appeared in the Xbox PC app code in May. I’m told that Microsoft’s disc-to-digital feature will work on Xbox One and Xbox Series X discs only, and not those for the Xbox 360 or original Xbox console."

At our best we speed is learning

An excerpt from the “We Are Xbox” release:

“We have to be honest about where we are. We’re a challenger, and meeting this moment will require pace, energy, and a level of self-critique that should feel uncomfortable. At our best we:

Earn every player
Protect our art
Stay rebellious
Progress over perfection
Signal over ceremony
Core before more
Outwork the problem
Speed is learning
Makers over managers
Clarity is kindness”

Nobody talks enough about how U-Haul is a weird company. Don’t even think about using these boxes for more than four moves or a duration of more than 12 years.

It still floors me that Nintendo actually expects people to play for any length of time holding the Switch up to their face like this. It feels like a bit to somehow make the Virtual Boy even more painful to use.

Not exactly sure that this sloptastic AI-generated "diagram" of an EREV will help Toyota's customers understand what an EREV is and whether or not they want one, which is a problem because it came straight out of a survey.

A clearly AI-generated diagram of an extended-range EV powertrain from a Toyota owners' survey that makes absolutely no sense.

I should take part in #RandomGameSaturday more so here’s the game I just got in the mail, the Other Namco Launch PS2 Racer, MotoGP. Technically the later games are better because they have way more content but this is closer to a port of 500GP from the arcades, and that makes it the coolest.
