You know what I always find mind-boggling? When a crowd tries to drown out a heckler with chants of “USA”. The implication of that being the chant is that you believe that silencing dissent and forcibly removing people that disagree with you aligns with “American values”. It’s un-American.

I also think that it sounds like substantively, he’s not against paras getting those payments. It seems like the issue is more a procedural one (which is ironic because his critics criticize his plan for free buses by saying the state controls the MTA, a logic that doesn’t seem to apply here).

That’s fair. I think I saw another one of your posts saying that the collective bargaining process is gonna take time and their contract isn’t up for another year; you’re right about that. However, I do see the logic in not allowing salary to be legislated in this way.

My understanding is that he’s not against the bill on the substance. He has said he doesn’t support the bill and is trying to block it because it illegally bypasses the collective bargaining process, violates the Taylor Law, and sets a bad precedent of salaries being determined by legislation.

Does he ever “migrate” down from the sold out sporting events he jinxes? Those are ACTUAL sellouts. So either his events are packed to capacity and there are no empty seats to migrate from, OR the “migration” is happening because the venue isn’t packed so there are seats to “migrate” to.

Good call; I thought of that one too. That was in the later seasons after Jack McCoy got elected to a full term as DA. That one had the cartel angle, but not the gun buying angle. The earlier one has the gun buying angle, but not the cartel angle, so that’s why I thought of that one first.

I have a lot of ideas for amendments we need right now (in addition to the ERA). I always thought that Donald Trump would prompt us to ratify some much-needed amendments to the Constitution, but we need to elect a LOT more Democrats to federal and state legislatures to do that.
