for the record i did find the grave i was looking for AND where mercy brown’s body was probably(?) interred before being properly buried post-mutilation

A photo of a tombstone that reads: Mercy L. daughter of George T. and Mary T. Brown. Died Jan 17 1892. Aged 19 years

An above-ground mausoleum. The wooden door is detached and loosely leaning over the bricked-up entrance

what nobody tells you about getting into vampire burials is that in two years you’ll be chasing rumors of them around the northeast and find yourself in a tiny church cemetery in the middle of nowhere, rhode island looking for a tombstone

they’re even keeping the polyamory 🗣️‼️‼️

“Murderbot also becomes fascinated by the crew's polyamorous conflicts, horny desperation, and messy professional disagreements — like the droid is watching its own live soap opera. "Like most of us, it enjoys watching a train wreck," Paul says. "It just doesn't particularly want to be in a train wreck."”

110

ainsley (but spooky 🧛) @ainsleysunday.com · 09/04/2025

starting to feel cautiously optimistic about the murderbot show… 👀

“Skarsgard's character is the unwitting straight man—or rather, straight...thing. (Though it looks like a man, Murderbot prefers the neutral pronoun because it is proud to be an object rather than a person.)“

hi, my name’s ainsley! i’m a game designer, writer, & illustrator who enjoys fantasy, sci-fi, and the macabre. i’m available to work on video games, TTRPGs, board games, and any other cool projects that come my way! 💌 ainsley.sunday@gmail.com 🔖 ainsleysunday.com

A promo image for Leechcraft. There are black and red leeches on a white background, blackletter text in the center reads "Leechcraft"

okay actually four more games just to maintain my reputation as a sophisticated enjoyer of video games (commentary in alt bc i realized i can do that)

Cover art for Dishonored 2 (again). There are no words for how much I love this game. It was mind-blowing when I played it for the first time in 2017 and every time I’ve replayed it since, I find some new mind-blowing thing

Cover art for The Beginner’s Guide. I think about this game OFTEN. As someone who likes to make weird little things but also engages with a lot of game commentary/criticism there is both a Coda and a Davey in my head and making things is a constant struggle between the two.

Cover art for Pentiment. Played it relatively recently and just fell in love. Honestly my favorite things were the little stuff — eating with people, watching the kids grow up, and just generally coming to care so deeply for these people and this place.

Cover art for Disco Elysium. I’m not even done with it yet but!! I love this game. In case it wasn’t clear already, I love when a game delights in the tiny, mundane details and gives you a chance to see the internal lives of people. Which is something Disco delivers on oh so beautifully.
