I had occasion to revisit this book today and cannot tell you how much I want to force everyone in education to read this work. A pedagogy of kindness is not about being nice or soft. It is about attending to justice, believing people, and believing in people. First step? Kindness to ourselves.

Law Librarians: What is your One True Rant about things done wrong? Mine is how the Bluebook butchers cites to the state administrative code rendering “properly Bluebooked” cites useless in my state. Can also do a good five minutes on the GPO’s slowness in publishing the Official CFR.
