I climbed the Downie Hillock today. It’s an Iron Age fort, known locally as a fairy hill. Mentioned in the witchcraft confessions of Isobel Gowdie as an entrance to Elf Hame (Fairyland). It felt peaceful and welcoming to me. #folklore #Scotland
