Indie authors: list your book on thebooklist.co for free. No signup. No platform fees. No commissions. Add your title, description, cover, and purchase link in about a minute. Readers discover your book, you keep 100% of every sale. That's it. That's the whole thing #BookSky #IndieAuthor #IndieBooks

The Book List is a community-built platform where independent authors can share their books with readers around the world. No fees, no commissions, no gatekeepers. Just books and the people who love them.

What We Stand For

What we believe

Books should be discoverable. Every book deserves a chance to find its readers, not just the ones with the biggest marketing budget.

Authors should keep what they earn. When a reader buys your book, that money belongs to you. We never take a cut, never charge a listing fee, and never insert ourselves between you and your sale.

Recommendations should be honest. The books trending on The Book List are trending because real readers are clicking, sharing, and coming back to them. Not because someone paid for placement.

The community should own the platform. The Book List is built for authors and readers, not advertisers. Every decision we make is guided by what's best for the people who actually use the site.

What Makes Us Different

What sets us apart

Free forever. No listing fees, no premium tiers, no upsells. The Book List has been free since day one and will stay that way.

No commissions. When a reader buys your book through your purchase link, you keep 100 percent of the sale. We never touch the money.

No paid placements. Every book on the trending lists earned its spot through genuine reader interest. You can't pay your way to the top.

Built for readers and authors equally. We care just as much about helping readers find great books as we do about helping authors get discovered. Both sides win when the platform stays honest.

No account required to browse. Readers can explore the entire platform without signing up.

Has anyone ever heard of frogs (fried bread dough)? Not Native American fry bread which I think uses baking powder, but fried yeast bread. My mom taught me to make these in an iron skillet. I've only heard one or two others call them frogs. Wondering why we call them this.

The one and only agent that showed interest, couldn't rep me because she said she had a client with a similar voice. Totally understandable, but disappointing. Then my husband retired last month and our budget drastically dropped, so I'm choosing not to continue with 12x12pb or scbwi.

Thanks Sue. It was a difficult decision, but probably for the best. For sixteen years I've been writing, learning, and, and improving my writing. During that time many CPs have stated how much they love my work. But not a single agent or editor in all these years, except one, has loved my work.

It's been over 15 years of rejection, so I've finally decided I won't be submitting any more. The last ember of hope I was holding onto for so long is officially dead.

The friends of the #wornstaffpubliclibrary hosted my author visit. They and the staff are the absolute best! Their board recommended an almost lifesize cut out (crazy funny). One member made me a custom bookworm bag (priceless). And the kids all participated during the event! #kidlit #blessed

That should have read "to" not "too". This is why writers need editors, lol 😂

I agree. After fifteen years in the trenches, I no longer really expect much. I keep trying anyway just in case, but I don't get super excited like I used too.

I feel the disappointment, and then I do my best to let it go. I keep writing new stories thanks in part to 12x12pb, I look for the next opportunity, and I work to remember that no matter how small the spark of hope is after all these years, it's still burning!
