Arab Strap’s The Turning of Our Bones was released back in September 2020. To celebrate its 5th birthday (somewhat belatedly), we've made three new merch items inspired by the song, all designed by me and available exclusively from our webshop now! www.arabstrap.scot/shop

Out today on Bandcamp, a limited repress of Arab Strap's Encrypted Valentines LP. The first pressing sold out in a day last time, so we expect these to go pretty fast – 300 copies available from 8am UK time on Friday over here: arabstrap.bandcamp.com/album/encryp...

Thanks, Danny, I've been reading about this today too. Not really news to us in "the business", to be honest, but his new song praising the likes of Alex Jones is a pretty spectacular way to announce it to his fans.

That was a great wee gig, I wish we'd recorded it. It felt kind of illicit because it was the night the Queen died and the hotel wasn't sure they should be putting it on. It's what Her Majesty would've wanted.

I think those days (nights) might be over, sadly, although all it really takes is the right amount of booze ...

Finally got some peace to watch the whole Nirvana FireAid reunion and I was doing okay until All Apologies started, and now I've got tears in my beard. Violet Grohl was perfect. I'm away to the fridge for a drink now.

I remember you, aye! To be honest, I'm not much fussed about social media in general anymore, I don't expect I'll post much beyond work stuff ... but I said that a few times about Twitter and always ended up back there. Beat of My Drum = banger forever!

Ha, just saw this, Andrew – not sure I'd do it justice, but I'll add it to the consideration pile. Oddly, though, I have a similar earworm relationship with this – it's absolutely ingrained, and I've no idea why, but I sing it all the time. Listening to it now ... thanks, I think ...

I’m on a train, and the school kids sitting next to me have just loudly discussed their grandparents being racist fools, the economic importance of immigration, women’s bodily autonomy, transphobic bullies, and Elon Musk’s disinformation. Sometimes the future looks bright.
