The other thing about "failing in their duty" is that the advice she got from Sex Matters was wrong. She did not, in fact, have a case, and lost her employment tribunal. Because of what has been revealed at her tribunal, I very much doubt she will work as a nurse again. I think her career is over.

Essentially, the counsel was informing the judge about the ruse of all of this. One of these cases must eventually come to establish that "gender critical beliefs" is just transphobia by another name.

They set out the timeline. After she was suspended, she went to a family member who was a solicitor, who directed her to (former MP) Neale Hanvey, who directed her to Sex Matters, where Maya Forstater told her about "gender critical beliefs," and that she had a case (it turns out she didn't.)

The first thing that opposing counsel did in the new Sandie Peggie tribunal was to point out that she said to the BBC that she had never heard of "gender critical beliefs" prior to her complaint. How, therefore, can her Union have discriminated against her based on beliefs she had never heard of?

Graham Linehan used to tweet regularly that climate change deniers were some of the stupidest people on the planet. Now, he is one. Did he do research? No, his entire logic is that if the Left supports trans rights therefore they must be wrong on everything.

In his early years of anti-trans activism, Graham found an historic use of the ableist slur by a trans-supporting man and held it up as a sign that the man was a bad person, and trans support was bad by association. Now, he uses it on an almost daily basis himself.

Today, JK Rowling is being accused of bullying another woman on Twitter, and she replied that everyone is free to disagree with her, yet, two weeks ago she was saying she was the social media equivalent of Mike Tyson, and if you came at her she would give you a metaphorical "brain injury."

If you walked up to Mike Tyson in a bar and punched him in the face, I doubt ‘you can’t hit back because I’m so puny!’ would save you from consequences.

Same on X. If you want to punch me in public but don’t want to risk a brain injury in return, stick to your own weight class.

At one point he compares trans healthcare to institutional sexual abuse of minors. That is such a disgusting comparison to make, and demeans the very real suffering of people who experienced institutional abuse. But, that is the sort of wild rhetoric these detrans activists deal in.

I looked up the Twitter account of the "gender critical" movement's shiny new detrans activist, Jonni S, and the first tweet I see is one where he says that Muslims don't like dogs because they protect women and children. Why are they always Right Wing ideologues?

Yep, and the prominent people who "both-sided" trans rights and anti-trans activism, who essentially sanitised transphobia for the public, made it seem reasonable to equate the people trying to live their lives and those who hate them doing that are some of the people who are most culpable for this.

You should listen to Jon's "Things Fell Apart" Florida episode, where he "both sides" anti-trans activism and trans people, and allows some transphobic rhetoric to go unchallenged. He's no friend to trans people.

Linehan thought that the interviewer bringing that up was a "gotcha" type question, but he did, in fact, think that, had said that, and should have been challenged on it. Of course he should. It's deeply troubling that Ronson agrees Linehan was made to look bad and wasn't just BAD.

I think some of their art before this project showed some promise, and insight, but at some point self-hatred kicked in, and a narcissists need for everyone else to validate their personal decision. She has been given the biggest sign that she's on the wrong path, artistically, by this.

Back in 2019, Sky News ran a piece saying that one GC activist was in touch with 100s of YOUNG detrans people in the UK alone, and yet, in 2026, this GC activist can't find 100 people worldwide over nearly 5 years to be a part of her project. Clearly, a lie is happening here.

...and bigotry, that was just directed against me (there are 100s, if not 1000s, of examples directed against other people) and I never heard from his law firm again. One of Graham's "ideas" is that trans people simply don't exist. Do we really have to stoop to debate that "idea"?
