Sounds like the sirens you heard where likely made by Federal Signal. One of them was definitely a FS 2001-130, another one is likely a FS Eclipse-8, and maybe a FS Modulator

I can see why many businesses along Main Street are struggling. People buy stuff, not cars. Cars are also why cities in this country are loud. It makes Main Street feel unsafe and stressful. A car-free Main Street would be amazing for everyone.

I just found out that the downtown part of Norman's Main Street is as wide as one direction of I-35. A road that size is not conducive to foot traffic. I have seen so many cars use it as a thoroughfare, a way to get places. That's car traffic, not foot traffic.

The total lunar eclipse of March 3, 2026 during maximum eclipse at 5:33 AM CST. Imaged as a stack of 56 exposures to reduce noise. While not shown in the photo, this eclipse seemed a bit darker than last year's, and the umbral shadow had no blue rim this time.

My flight was supposed to depart at 5:27 pm central and arrive at 6:19 pm mountain. It actually departed at 6:15 pm central and arrived at 10:17 pm mountain.

The plane held for a few minutes before diverting to Grand Junction due to low fuel, as it was a smaller regional jet. I was stuck in the plane for an hour and a half as it was getting refueled, along with many other diverted planes. After that, we took off back to Denver and landed.
