Some of Manchester's finest exports, its most successful creatives, were massive grifters. Anyone taking offence to that can't be a Mancunian!

Like a lot of Mancunians of his generation, one part genius, one part grifter.

I've found it online and fear I'm going to be lost in it all day!

Haha. Should've known. Am tempted to dig out Hooky's number just to ask him!

I've always wondered who came up with the name Hacienda.

Of all the crackpot conspiracy theories around City that I've read, the bizarre one which has sprung up on X saying that Pep has been 'forced' out' by 'Mendes and Maresca' is probably the most incredible. In - cre - di - ble. Some people should not be allowed access to the internet.

“Have been excellent” has been autocorrected to haven’t 🤦🏽‍♂️

Kroupi and Bournemouth haven’t been excellent. City playing like they played a cup final 3 days ago and there’s a massive elephant in the middle of the dressing room.

City Tactics @city-tactics.bsky.social · 19/05/2026

In the last 9 seasons City have won 14 of the 26 major domestic trophies on offer (1 more still to be handed out). During that time United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs, who have been pretty consistently all in the top 10 richest clubs in the world, have won 9 between them.

At least until the first defeat! Haha.

I think there's broadly going to be a split between those people who think that the end of the Pep era will inevitably lead to a downfall, and those who believe that he's left the foundations for continued success. Pep had been here so long that now we know he's leaving, change will feel exciting.

The fact Pep did a decade in Manchester is probably as surprising as him joining in the first place. When he joined the club, he was bigger than the club. Now, the club's as big as him. A testament to what he helped us achieve.

🥇 I've never been into conspiracy theories, but then, sometimes they turn out to be true.

I made a chickpea salad for lunch and I can't lie. It's delicious. Absolutely delicious. A good day for me in the kitchen.

Oh dear, really!? In training?

The core is there. You could argue that structurally you're only buying 1 first XI player to replace Bernardo. Everything else is about having options that Pep rates enough to rotate a CM, a forward, and Nunes.

A surprisingly good chat with Adam. Some annoyance, some perspective, some of the stuff in the middle. If you're a blue and you haven't downloaded our app, please do! You can listen to the first ten minutes of all our content of free, you can find all our free content on there too.

Which is why I think they need a Gundo. Someone who can play the six when needed but is also an 8. Elliot Anderson.

I love Gigi so maybe I'm biased. Think he's one of the best keepers in the world. I rate Trafford but for me he's someone who over a 38 game season would crumble at some point and need to be taken out of the firing line. Too emotional to be a top top keeper.

The team is VERY close though. Foden's new deal locks him in. Gut feeling is that it's going to be hard to shift a couple of players but they'll have to be creative because Pep needs lads he trusts next season. I'd buy two CM's a forward and a right back.

Eurgh. That was a chastening 15 minutes which tilted everything. It's a reminder that being perfect in a run in is very difficult. Thought for the first time since they started playing together, Nunes, Khusa, and Guehi had a bad period. There's an obvious hole in midfield. NGL I don't rate Nico G.

I'm staying on this side until he's on a plane to Barcelona and they're unveiling the new manager on the official site!

The Pep is leaving/staying stuff is quite interesting/funny. The man has deliberately used the same line in both his press conference and his interview with sky. "I still have incredible energy." If he is going, he's giving an Oscar worthy performance of a man who is going nowhere.

This is a banger. Jon always a great guest!
