From the Second Show to the Second to Last Show. It’s incredible how much of a constant The Late Show has been in my life. I know whatever Colbert does next will be brilliant. I can’t wait to see it. For now I will mourn the Late Show’s loss.

Listen. Colbert’s been at the Late Show for a decade. He’s been doing a nightly show for over two. I’ve been mentally preparing for the end of his Late Show run because he’s only human, you know? But CANCELED? Flabbergasted. Distraught. Crying as I frustratedly consume my pint of Americone Dream.

Stephen Colbert has been my Special Thing since 2011: books, comics, shows, rallies, Super Secret Manhattan Shoots, ice cream, live streams, the college I chose due to its proximity to the show. I have too many thought and not enough words. CBS is turning off the Joy Machine. And it sucks.
