Residents offered often conflicting ideas Tuesday evening for how to develop vacant city-owned land at Emerson Street and Jackson Avenue. Evanston officials and consultants from Aggregate Studio and Architecture for Public Benefit hosted the first of two planned listening sessions at Gibbs-Morrision Cultural Center.

The first of two expected workshops to gather input on the vacant lots Emerson Street and Jackson Avenue will take place on Aug. 11, Ald. Bobby Burns (5th) said during a virtual ward meeting Thursday. It will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gibbs-Morrison Cultural Center, 1823 Church St.
