But I agree. I don't see as much fun science as, weirdly, LinkedIn. Nobody is talking about football, and people are overall very serious and angry about American politics mostly. Hora est! I couldn't be prouder of @snjezanakodba.bsky.social who defended her brilliant work yesterday within the beautiful walls of the Academiegebouw of @utrechtuniversity.bsky.social. Snježana was the lab's first PhD student. It was emotional all around. Tears were shed!

A dad from my hockey rec team organized a series of games between us and "the kids" team where a lot of my teammates have their kids (mostly U15/U17). We haven't won a single one. I distinctly remember a 16-0. It's fun seeing all these dads both pissed off and proud.
