What looked like a complete write off because of the summer heat is now showing off its colours. A little TLC and keeping the faith goes a long way. This made my morning!

“The decline of reading will bring about changes of the same magnitude. It will affect our innermost thoughts, our society’s politics and culture, and how we tell the history of our civilization.” A powerful morning read about literacy. www.theatlantic.com/magazine/202...

The End of Reading Is Here

I’m so happy (and proud) to add these damson plum jam beauties to the collection of winter preserves 🥳

It has been wonderful to just read, and this beauty kept me captivated to the very end.

Figs are now joining the garden party. It’s the little things!

The best friends are those friends who understand that what you need is beautiful stationery and a splash of art 😍

A black and white cat has his paw on a pencil. There’s an envelope and in top of it are a journal, Rothko flyer, and a postcard of a Rothko painting that is a red and dark red almost black square.
