The peachicks are getting more adventurous as they fill out and look more like actual peafowl and not muppets with wings. 🐾🪶

Can someone please tell me why I was given the boundary to not be involved in my brother’s life, and yet I still have to babysit his dogs when shit happens? WTF is that about?

I’ve been seeing the peachicks flaring their tails more lately. They definitely got Fin’s bitchiness. This is Melinoë trying to get sassy with Fin (it didn’t work). 🐾🪶

Still not sure if they are Vessel or Espera. Vash and Clark were doing the wing drop dance to them while I was out there, but at this stage that doesn’t really mean anything yet. Still working on walking. 🐾🪶

She really, *really* does not like my hair blonde and not pulled back in a bun. She will not stop yelling at me. 😂

Okay. I just got this today, and I know I’m only on page 4. I almost didn’t want to read it because I didn’t want to ruin the cover.

Pic of my hand holding the hardcover copy of Baldur’s Gate 3: Astarion by T. Kingfisher with that gorgeous cover art of my bitchy twink boyfriend looking fab. There’s also a funeral procession of skeletons and a skeleton horse pulling a hearse carriage in the background - Halloween decorations.

Y’all. My parents’ dog, Oda Mae, didn’t recognize me with my hair down and bleached and lost her shit when I walked into the house. Hair raised from shoulder to tail. It was hilarious. Would not let me touch her. I must look awful 😂

*Thermodosa - spellcheck is useless when I need it! Here’s a better picture of them where you can see the difference better. Astarion by himself, Melinoë and Thermodosa together. Only 2 out 5 of this year’s babies being male isn’t bad for my flock. Usually the other way round. 🐾🪶

Fin has been teaching them how to fly, jump, and launch themselves off things lately. (mute, I forgot to stop the shuffle playlist) 🐾🪶

221

S. Suzuki @uzisuzuki.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

A (slightly) better look at the peachicks to give a better look at the difference between Astarion (first), Thermodosa (second), and Melinoë (third). If I could get them to stand next to each other, that’s also the order they go largest to smallest. 🐾🪶

Picture of a three month old peachick that I *think* is male. He has more barring in the feathers along his shoulders and down his back, and that’s a feature that peacocks have not peahens. The green in his neck feathers is also getting much darker than the other two peachicks.

Picture of a three month old peachick the I think is a peahen. She has no barring on the feather at her shoulders and the green in her neck feathers is muted. She is also missing a toe on one of her feet.

Picture of the last three month old peachick that I also think is a peahen for the same reasons as the previous picture. This one is slighter than the previous and has all her toes. The picture is also blurry because she never stops moving.

I’m still not sure if Vessel is still Vessel or Espera. It looks like they’ve got some waddles coming in (which Cal’syee doesn’t have), and a pea comb (which Cal’syee does have). If they could try crowing, it would help immensely. I don’t think they’re getting much bigger. 🐾🪶

S. Suzuki @uzisuzuki.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

The peachicks are: Astarion (Porthos), Thermadosa (Aramis/Stumpy), and Melinoë (Athos). I think it’s safe to call it at this stage. Their colouring/patterns are very distinct from each other now. 🐾🪶

First time wearing them since I got them for my birthday, and they hurt my bad knee? Not my feet/ankles like they should since I haven’t broke them in yet? Arthritis is baloney, man.

Vessel/Espera has been leaving the big coop on their own for a few days now. They are standing up and walking, but the one foot is still not fully functional (as you can see in the pic). They do come to me when they want back in the coop to eat. 🐾🪶

Honestly, while the drawing and writing/researching part of making these zines is enjoyable, the brain damage gets more out of the repetitiveness of folding the pages and putting them together to be pressed.

I think Fin has 2 daughters (Athos and Aramis/Stumpy) and 1 son (Porthos) based on size difference and the barring of the feathers. I guess I should decide on actual names for them now. 🐾🪶
