On this day (technically tomorrow in my place), a crystal of beauty was bestowed upon the world. Let us celebrate by subjecting her to an awkward dinner party and confusing feelings towards her rival /j #ビバレン #ビバレンFA #HB_REY 🔗 archiveofourown.org/works/64676011

Screenshot of AO3 fanfiction “Let’s Get Out of Here (We’ll Enjoy the Starry Night on Our Own)” by cirrus_cyan

Fandom: VS Ambivalenz

Rating: G

Archive warnings: None

Relationship: Fujidate Sakuya/Kisumi Rey

Characters: Kisumi Rey, Fujidate Sakuya, Background and cameo characters

Other tags: Fluff, Angst, Fluff and Angst, Emotional Hurt/Comfort, Family Drama, awkward dinner party intensifies, author knows nothing about rich people, Character Study, family member headcanons, Happy Birthday Kisumi Rey

Summary:

A touch on his shoulder grounded his spiraling thoughts. Turning to see Sakuya once again, he was immediately struck with those deep, loving eyes staring back at him, holding so much warmth and care for his distressed rival.

“We’ll go through this together, Bocchan.”

“Sakuya…”

“You did say you’re gonna stay by my side for the whole night, so it’s only fair that I keep you company as well.”

______________

In which Rey had to attend a dinner party hosted by his parents for his birthday. Unlike the previous years, though, Sakuya was there to accompany him, bringing in much drama and unresolved feelings to the table.

2025 birthday art of VS Ambivalenz character Kisumi Rey. He is depicted in the center behind his birthday cake and holding a teddy bear on his right hand. Cuc (left) and Cion (right) are behind him holding their own teddy bears
