It’s just so hard to keep up with everything and cards that don’t break out in constructed or the mtgo cube get missed much more easily.

How would you compare it to cryptcaller chariot? This gets to draw an extra card + loot but the chariot can work with every turn looting or ones that cost a couple mana. In the discard your hand example its mostly a wash when counting total power.

It’s x 2/2s rather than x+1 since you cannot discard the second card you draw off of it. In a lot of environments trading your hand for that many 2/2s is good but not game ending in itself - especially since they enter tapped so you can’t block. I think it’s somewhat comparable to spider spawning.

I love how it works with surveil, looting, dredging, and the obvious self mill.

I certainly did! I also regularly got to the 12 mana threshold to double capsize.

It’s a great time - I drafted this pile when I was visiting SF last year. I sadly didn’t get to finish 3 matches because the food hall we played in was closing. Deck was great and I’m positive I enjoyed myself much more than my opponents did.
