Notes: — Character Reference sheets will be available either November or whenever I get verified on vgen, whichever comes first. — The YCH, when finished, looks like the piece below! And eventually I will clean up the base and release it as a purchasable and customizable base in PSD format.

Here are the wip shots -- First draft, first sketch, lineart and flats for the full body art, and first full ref sheet mock up. The file was moved between Procreate and CSP for the art and Photoshop for the text formatting.

My nephew should be singing along to KPop Demon Hunters very loudly, trying to eat tide pods and coughing with his mouth open or whatever little kids do these days what do you mean data management.

Shale is one of the few npc i'd consider shipping Kairos with... wow what an interesting character!

I knew this was coming because a side character always gets a little of backstory before it happens but it still sucks man

I moved the PSD file through Procreate, Clip Studio Paint Pro and Photoshop 2019 so there's only a partial timelapse, but here are the flats layers before I merged everything to begin color correction.

I leave empty gaps in between colors and blend so other colors in other layers spill through; I feel this helps colors marry each other better, if they spill onto each other a little messily

I feel the same anxiety after final exams at the end of a semester, when you gather all your knowledge and finally turn in your work after months… I also feel relief at the same time now that it’s over! Here’s the lineart & first thumbnail sketch and some notes I put down as I worked

some progress I had to stop here and finally order another drawing glove because I can’t find mine anywhere & I know this sounds very silly but my hand rubbing against the textured screen is *incredibly* overstimulating and irritating that it feels like it burns after only 20 minutes of drawing 😞💦

Ah… wait… I forgot his tail... do I move the stack of papers or just draw it behind them 😞💦 …

I did quick tests with some reshade presets and I think they turned out well, so now i'll get back to working on this comm until I'm tired. 👍

I didn't know that your FC icon showed up on certain clothing items -- you have to talk to an NPC and pay a small fee -- and also on the House entrance, and ah, wow, that is a very cute detail.

I don't have a lot of free time nowadays but here's what i've done to the yard so far; it's in a nice spot overlooking the lake ! (i've been playing this game for about half a decade now but I only recently discovered gardening)

Mostly characters that were forced to grow up too fast, burdened by high expectations & familial duty, no qualms about making great sacrifices to reach a goal, intense, focused & wise beyond their years — only after the job is done he can be surprisingly mischievous & playful. 🐍
