Carrie’s character is MEANT to be traumatized and where the very story of Carrie was meant to be a cautionary tale about the horrors of abuse, society allowing the people under it to ‘other‘ more vulnerable persons, and bullying. Of course, she is meant to be traumatized. Write your own story.
