I'm currently obsessed with making Marlow, a type of no-churn ice cream that uses marshmallows as its base. Best one so far has been this vanilla Bean Marlow with fudge ripple. Glad I made a double batch!

A container of vanilla Bean Marlow with a fudge ripple swirl

Marlow recipe
3/4 cup milk
32 regular marshmallows (200 grams)
Melt above ingredients, mix in
Vanilla
1/4 c Cocoa
1tsp espresso powder
Transfer to bowl to cool

Whip 1.5C heavy cream
Mix into previous mixture

Transfer to a shallow dish overnight, scraping a couple times

Adjustments -
Leave out cocoa and espresso, steep milk and marshmallows with a split vanilla Bean for vanilla Bean marlow

Can have any number of mix ins added

Made some progress on my Pokemon pieces today! I am really enjoying this break from massive rendered pieces, as much as I love them. Line art wins again! Gonna get the second Eevee and Umbreon poses finalized tomorrow, then it's just final lines-color-backgrounds oh yeah there's still a lot 😂

Food time! Crab Rangoon pizza on the grill. I got through the slices and that was it, it was so rich. Needs more fake crab next time and some sweet and sour sauce but definitely gonna make it again.

I have been wanting a cool knife to use to open packages for social media posts for so long and tonight I found The One. I can't wait to use it on all the restocks I've got coming for the next few shows.

The Weight of Forgotten Tomorrows Meet Everoque, one of my oldest characters. He'll be making an appearance either late book 4 or beginning of book 5 of Dawn Tyrant, and he's got a heavy backstory if you can't tell from the title of the piece. All done in Procreate, around 60 hours

A winged wolf lands on a starry surface that reflects a rain of stars coming down at nebulas churn beneath. There is a large splash around his foot and his reflection can be seen on the surface. Light emanates from the points the starry rain and the wolf's foot impact the surface, lighting the winged wolf from below. The wolf is staring ahead with a serious expression, and his wings are outstretched as if ready to take flight once more. The colors are predominantly deep purple and very light gold

@ursulakleguin.com's Catwings. I got my copy signed by her in college, a few years before she passed. It gave kid me dreams of flying animals, and helped set me on a journey to become a writer. And put wings on lots of animals 😂

Sometimes you make a sketch and realize you need a reference. And sometimes that reference is a giant-ass cookie. So you find yourself a recipe and bake some giant-ass cookies to find one that'll give you the reference you need.

WIP of one of the creature encyclopedia entries for my novel! Planning to get back to this piece as soon as my winged wolf piece is done.

A WIP illustration showing a deskell dragon with human for scale, along with top and bottom flying views and a side view. The side view dragon head is blue under the chin and down the neck with a gold mane and feathers and blue horns. The full drawing has an undercoat of orange with a purple head, feet, tail tip, and wing tips. The topcoat is burgundy, so the overall appearance is like a dark morph Siamese cat

I broke out my trusty* soldering iron tonight and made a new headphone cable using a 2.5mm balanced headphone jack. I never want to solder something that small again, lol. *AKA the soldering iron I could find, as my good one is somehow missing even though it doesn't leave a 2 square foot area

I'm going to try and get some writing done tonight, this migraine is not playing nice right now. I get to wear the fancy glasses™️ until things behave.

The Fancy glasses 🕶️ aka my m600 dyed lens migraine glasses. They block all blue light which makes it seem like I'm looking at the world through cherry jello.
Normally I don't haven't to wear them inside my house, they live in my car as sun/bright light glasses but when I get a really bad migraine they migrate inside with me

Also - Corsi-Rosenthal boxes are fantastic at dealing with wildfire smoke. I've had one every summer since 2021 and it's a permanent fixture in our basement. I would probably be in the ER right now if I didn't have this set up.

Find yourself a good physical therapist who gets you the good braces. This little ring is doing an excellent job of annoying the heck out of me by keeping me from collapsing my CMC joint, which means I can draw without screwing up my hand for days. 10/10 little annoyance, I love it.

Microgreens/sprouts are expensive, even if you get them from Costco. Turns out they're dirt cheap and super simple to grow at home! Mine have started to sprout en masse less than 24 hours after starting them. I'm so excited to eat them.
