Fun (not so fun) fact - Google Translate has a "Classic" (real) and "Advanced" (bullshit) modes available on desktop/Firefox now. But if you use "detect language", it defaults to Advanced and doesn't give you the option to turn it off.

It's more an element of between "design two websites" and "design one website that works on both", people will often choose the latter. And this leads to desktop sites that look like mobile sites. Early 00s we also had consistent desktop resolutions, which is why they all have fixed image designs.

god why is it next to impossible to obtain official "DLC" assets for RPG Maker not only is it stuck on Steam (and therefore requires you have *that specific RM* to download) they *re-release the same assets multiple times per engine*. They're just assets!! Put them for sale somewhere else! fuck!!
