While I liked Florida Project, Barker doesn't know how to close his films. Anora seems the same to me. I like the film but I don't feel the closure of a film with a Scorsese-esque stigma to one with a Haneke-esque sensibility. I understand the idea, but I'm not a fan.

A terrific and funny warning about the dangers of AI, about how the AI is a lifeless entity that has no problem sucking the life and creativity out of a work just to present soulless piece of art.

Consuming media is more than just a checkmark in a box

000

Jobey @aestheticlaifu.bsky.social · 02/01/2025

My take for those "Planning media for the next year" are bunch of fucking nonsense, you shouldn't encapsulate your pending tasks as checkmark box, be more spontaneous than just being pigeonholed with pending tasks that you don't fulfill at the end of the year.

One of the worst examples in my recent times in how to handle music, The openings become banal to the point that I couldn't stand the soundtrack because it was so repetitive. The series doesn't have musical variability and it becomes so annoying how uninteresting the soundtrack is

Nekketsu with a strong inclination towards teenage romance, the core of the work is obviously strongly inspired by Dragon Ball and One Piece. Fun series

Let's say we have a great and interesting political class war in the first place, and then let's rid of it in the most abrupt and less compelling way to make all the characters we know join for a massive,

The second most interesting installment of the franchise after the first film, Wes Craven is the only director who knows how to make meta horror without falling into repetitiveness. Craven was annoyed about those shitty sequels, returned to the franchise to show us how to do horror;

The classic slasher genre ended up dying with the death of Freddy in the 90s, there are a couple of interesting things like the fact that the film already takes into account that Freddy stopped being scary like 3 films ago and has become a grotesque equivalent of Bugs Bunny. Pure joy

000

Jobey @aestheticlaifu.bsky.social · 26/11/2024

The plot is getting worse, the deaths are getting more entertaining each new chapter. Fun movie

Jobey @aestheticlaifu.bsky.social · 25/11/2024

The franchise is a joke without Wes craven, still fun to watch

010

Jobey @aestheticlaifu.bsky.social · 20/11/2024

What was the difference here Well, Wes craven was behind the script

Jobey @aestheticlaifu.bsky.social · 20/11/2024

"Let's make Freddy the homosexual repression of the protagonist who wants to come out of closet but society doesn't let him fuck his best friend" Sadly, The Lack of Wes Craven In the script and direction it shows the weaknesses of the film against its timeless prequel
