I just turned on the game and see I'm not too late to place my vote for 1st Canucks goal tonight. I'm not sure who's playing well, but I'll go with Öghren

The Sailor Moon reference delighted me. Awesome!

Does the in-arena experience seem better this year?

010

ALE @aellwoo.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

This has been a surprisingly entertaining game... maybe not good hockey, but certainly bonkers

030

ALE @aellwoo.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Sasson is my guy today

050

ALE @aellwoo.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Which pop culture references should I brush up on this year to most appreciate the Stanchies?

010

ALE @aellwoo.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

I'm just turning on the game and am going with Karlsson today

020

ALE @aellwoo.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Who on the team is the most fun for you to interview, and why?

020

ALE @aellwoo.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

I'm going with Kudryavtsev since he's been working on his shot this off-season (and also because he seems like he has a great sense of humour)

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this article. Thank you!

Congrats on the win in preseason!

ALE @aellwoo.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

I was also born the same year as the Canucks, and my dad taught me to love the team. I live in the Okanagan. I'm a quiet poster and enjoy the wit and company of frequent Canucks posters. I'm not on X or Instagram and am fully committed to Bluesky for my sports content. I'm so glad you're all here!

Zadorov defended JT Miller by referencing the Spittin Chicklets episode. I watched it and thought, "Wow. They're still mocking Petey" and it did not raise my opinion of JT. Z thought it demonstrated JT's "good guy" status. Will you explain what the clip means to you and others?

It would be neat if he posted this on iNaturalist. It's a cool find

001

ALE @aellwoo.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

Very appropriate for you to get the first win of the season. Thx for initiating this on game days! Adds to the fun

ALE @aellwoo.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Try smudging or other wholesome cleanse?

110

ALE @aellwoo.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

I rarely wade into comment, but when something this important shows up on Bluesky, my voice needs to be heard. Based on your track record, closet the Vladdy jersey and absolutely only get opposing team jerseys

I'm so happy that you are continuing your writing career and being an integral part of local Canucks media coverage. I love your writing style and look forward to reading your hockey takes at your new writing home. Congratulations!

Are you covering training camp, in person? If yes, which individual are you most looking forward to interacting with (including players, coaches, trainers, & management) and why?

010

ALE @aellwoo.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

Success! See you there

ALE @aellwoo.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

I didn't remember to sign up for early access this year, so I'll have to wait until Friday to buy tickets. Like you, I'm looking forward to seeing the new team! I doubt you'll be entertained by watching a player get a ride to a casino this time (and yikes if you do)

ALE @aellwoo.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

With the change in management, do you expect a different relationship between the organization and the local sports media? Are there signals that the organization is motivated to expand and encourage a wide breadth of media coverage during this rebuild?

020

ALE @aellwoo.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

I so appreciate your reporting on this issue. Thank you for your respectfulness and diligence in exploring the community needs. I hope your reporting adds pressure to build more rinks and for the Canucks to be part of that

I just got home and turned on the game... what did Sanchez do?

Based on his Abbotsford camps, how differently do you think Malhotra will run training camp as compared to Tocchet and Foot?

It's so hard losing a longtime friend. I hope you take solace in the love of your closest people and the shared grief and camaraderie of your mutual friends and colleagues

Bonkers. Travel nightmare

We drove through Golden earlier today. Field was also without power. Unfortunately, I can't provide helpful guidance about any road closures... but it was disconcerting to not be able to fuel up (or get coffee). We were lucky to have fueled up in Sicamous

ALE @aellwoo.bsky.social · 01/08/2026

Who's winning the Sedin vs Sedin Grouse Grind Challenge on Sept 27th? Team Daniel or Team Henrik?

030

ALE @aellwoo.bsky.social · 30/07/2026

You're right, of course, but based on previous management groups and players' non-involvement, stating this intention explicitly makes sense. Continuing to demarcate this group as improved over the recent past

ALE @aellwoo.bsky.social · 27/07/2026

I've known Mike since we were both 19 years old at SFU, and he's been my husband's friend for 42 years. His online presence was a small sample of the wonderfully intelligent, passionate man that he was. His voice and light have been silenced too early. Our condolences, Sylvia

I think he's a pro scout, brought in recently by Alvin? Is it concerning that Johnson's departing the Canucks?

000

ALE @aellwoo.bsky.social · 23/07/2026

I'd love to sit with you again. And I agree - we'll print out the team staff (with pictures) so we have a directory of who's who

010

ALE @aellwoo.bsky.social · 23/07/2026

Me too! I'm looking forward to seeing how the new coaching and development staff work with the team

120

ALE @aellwoo.bsky.social · 17/07/2026

Haha. I forgive any over production simply because I thoroughly enjoyed seeing a goal horn (light) get demolished. Some of those goal horn people need to calm down. Yeesh. It's bad in the regular season, but it was brutal in the playoffs

010

ALE @aellwoo.bsky.social · 17/07/2026

I particularly laughed (winced) at the 'franchise cornerstone 43' bit

110

ALE @aellwoo.bsky.social · 06/07/2026

I laughed out loud at that one. Thx for the chuckle

000

ALE @aellwoo.bsky.social · 04/07/2026

This won't solve your dilemma fully, but it's not really about strangers. It's teaching them to be aware of and avoiding people who are trying to trick them. This is a difficult concept for young ones, but strangers are less likely to hurt them than people they know

030

ALE @aellwoo.bsky.social · 04/07/2026

Very busy. They even ran out of coffee cups. Haha. Dishwasher is probably frantically working in the back, earning massive tips from today's work. People are happy

Bard & Banker pub in Victoria!

Can you imagine the fan reaction if the Canucks actually pulled something like that off? Belief in this management team would go into the stratosphere (at least it would for me)
