Oooh, speaking of the #Harengon, I've had quite a few PCs of them in #DnD! Show below are the twins Zephyr (the archer) and Sever (the skirmisher), as well as Quinn (the warlock), whom I've played in three different campaigns. I just love bunnies, okay? :p Artwork below! #FurryDnD #RabbitDay

Sever the Ranger, showing her melee-oriented nature in this piece drawn by Sandy Schreiber.

Zephyr the ranger, letting loose an arrow in this piece drawn by The Dammitch.

Quinn the warlock, joined by his little water dragon familiar, in this piece drawn by Diana Stein.

I should make a #Harengon themed #DnD one-shot for #RabbitDay next year... I've already got a bunch of bunny NPCs I could toss in. #FurryDnD

New Solkai art, by @artofjonas.bsky.social! This one features Saturn doing what he does best: being a tour guide for his homeworld, introducing curious visitors to a new culture.

Artwork of Saturn, a Solkai tour guide for his homeworld, showing some of the sights to the viewer. Drawn by Jonas!

Furry conventions are among the best sources of inspiration for me. I finally got back to sketching while chilling in the hotel lobby during #IndyFurCon this year. Even got a bit of notice while hashing out some more Solkai concepts. Thanks for the words of encouragement, @lewistheelf.bsky.social!

The last game I played was #Snowrunner, so... I'd spend a year in some of the most remote regions on Earth, driving gigantic trucks and vibing alone in beautiful wildernesses while hauling massive pieces of cargo... Yeah, I think I can handle that for a year.

It's kinda funny how, knowing I've got a fursuit on the way, I began looking at other species to "try out" in real-time. While at #Anthrocon I looked at various premades and thought, "Yeah, I could be them." As another example, my suit won't be an otter, but he will be an OC I identify closely with.

Fellow authors: no context, the first line of your WIP? Rinn Castor had dozens of loyal, seasoned guards under his employ. All were easily evaded.

Aelius @aelius.bsky.social · 05/07/2026

Despite the heat/rain, #Anthrocon has been nice so far. I was also pleasantly surprised, and incredibly validated, by the number of artist mutuals who asked if I had any art on display in the Art Show this year. Not enough new material this time, sadly, but I've got ideas for next year... #AC2026

I still have to remind myself that "embracing the process" is how a skill is sharpened. I'm gradually learning the nuances of Unity and Substance, and all these hours spent doing so aren't wasted because I realize I can do more now than I could when I began. Harder still is dealing with impatience.

Mayternity wing-it for @aelius.bsky.social featuring his character Orchid. (Background from Clip Studio Assets)

My pieces for Mayternity! I've said before I really love the look of Orchid and Maple being pregnant. So soft and motherly... The image on the left can be found uncensored in my FA gallery. The beautiful image on the right is from @jonasafterdark.bsky.social #FurryArt #Mayternity

Maple the deer and Orchid the rabbit are displaying their nude, pregnant bodies as they take a break from exploring the wilderness.

Maple: "Looks like you're carrying quite a litter there."
Orchid: "*whuf* Yeah, I just hope I've got enough milk to feed 'em all when they're born."

This lovely piece from Jonas shows Orchid relaxing in the forest. Naked, pregnant, and glowing as any expectant mother would be.

I'm working on a rewrite of my epic sword-&-sandal fantasy, Auran Legend. It's rather weird how, right when I got a rejection letter for the previous draft, I felt like I already knew the things I had to change, and immediately began writing notes for edits. It's flowing SO much better now.

Our DnD DM is on sabbatical for a month, so in the meantime our group decided to try DMing one-shots on rotation for ourselves. Each week, a different one of us will DM a game for the group. I looked through some published one-shots to try, but then my writer-brain started getting ideas... 1/4 #DnD

Quote with the first drawing of your OC, and your most recent! Melon, way back in 2003, and her latest iteration, Orchid, last year. 22 years O_o #FurryArtist

Melon the rabbit, in her original drawing way back from 2003 when she was a modern-day photographer. She wasn't always a lop bunny, but her playful, mischievous nature is still going strong!

Maple the deer receiving a kiss from Orchid the rabbit in a drawing from 2025.
Orchid is Melon's latest iteration, now a protagonist in a solarpunk-fantasy story.

Steadily getting more serious about this idea as concepts come to me in my free time. Besides Solkai, I've got... modular dino-dragons, electro-kitties, living-stone horses, medically-attuned sneks, "hell goats", trickster jackalopes, cyborg shark-rays, and oviparous rabbit/squirrel/quokka hybrids.

Melon the rabbit originally began as a side character for a slice-of-life story, but I loved her personality & design so much that she quickly made her way to the forefront of my mind and became a cross-dimensional cameo character. Orchid in New Atlantis is her most recognized version. #FurryArt

Melon the lop-eared rabbit, in her original iteration as a photographer in a modern-day, slice-of-life story.

Another version of Melon, this time as Maia Ferna, a fantasy hero possessing super speed in my sword-&-sorcery-inspired Auran setting.

Maple the deer, Ellie the fennec fox, Melon the rabbit, and Soleil the horse from a spin-off sports story where she and the other girls are a recreation league volleyball team.

New Atlantis is a paradise world with nudist culture, so @artofjonas.bsky.social went with an Adam & Eve riff on this wing-it piece themed around "love" for Valentine's Day ^_^ #FurryArt (NSFW variant in my FA gallery)

I have two settings where public nudity is completely normal: New Atlantis (solarpunk fantasy) and the world of Solkai (frutiger aero sci-fi). Everyone's covered in fur/feathers/scales, so they're already comfortable. Clothing is considered little more than decoration. #FurryWriter

It's the Year of the Fire Horse, and I'm in an active furry #DnD campaign (setting: @heartleafgames.bsky.social's Beast World) where I play an equine Forge Cleric named Ash. First ref is complete, but I'm not entirely satisfied with how he came out so I'm already working on an update.

Ash, an equine Forge Cleric I play as in a furry Dungeons & Dragons campaign. He's armored up, brandishing his prize warhammer and shield, smiling at the viewer like the hero he is.
