I also made one for Arria around the same time.

Aubrey (OMORI) - Even though Arria's been around long before OMORI came out, Aubrey just kinda seemed to have the exact kind of sweet, but hotheaded energy I was going for with Ria.

Athena Asamiya - Mostly an aesthetic inspiration, with the long hair and hairband.

Kyoko (River City) - While Arria's associated with Swords, I also see her as the type to just go rough and tumble in a chaotic brawl, using anything handy as a weapon and having fun coming out on top in a fight, much like a Beat Em' Up protagonist.

Jack Russel (Radiata Stories) - Ria's kind of a lovable goofus, energetic and cheery and short-fused. When Jack swings his door open angrily to yell at the snooty guy from the castle, that's something I can see Arria doing with just as much energy.

Athena Cykes (Ace Attorney) - It was unintentional but somehow Athena's energy and competitiveness rubbed off onto Arria. They even do the same V-sign pose!

Sue Ellen (Arthur) One of Sue Ellen's first defining moments was defiantly standing up to a bully, and that's the kind of person I see Arria as. No tolerance for bullying, no hesitation or fear when it comes to protecting others.

I actually forgot I did this ages ago and didn't have a place to post it there's some extra details in the alt text

$QFG Hero: The most obvious inspiration, Jaffy's outfit was heavily inspired by the hero's look in QFG1 Remake and QFG2. He's also an adventurer and hero who tends to try to solve problems with inventory items and adventure game logic. Vyse: Way back, as a nebulous proto-OC, Jaffy took a lot of inspiration from Vyse, as his unshakable confidence was inspiring. There's less direct inspiration now, but it was a early and important stepping stone to getting here now. Darkwing Duck: My favorite superhero! Like DW, Jaf tends to prevail despite a lack of any particular superpowers. He used to share Darkwing's bumbling and tendency to take a lot of punishment, but unlike DW getting into trouble through his ego and stubbornness, Jafar's suffering was more from a lack of confidence. Kirby: Kirby was also a nebulous proto-OC form a long time ago. But even now, Kirby's capacity for forgiveness and friendship is a strong influence. One of Jaffy's best friends is even a being of Dark Matter! (though not as nice as Gooey...) Anne: Anne's journey of growth and friendship really resonated with me. I've grown in a lot of similar ways and that's been reflected in how Jaffy's changed overtime. She also inspired Jaffy being the Heart of a Power\Wisdom\Heart trio. Bartz: Probably more of a reinforcement of existing traits than a direct inspiration, like adventuring across the land, making goofy puns, and wearing a cool red cape.$

one of my least favorite tropes is having to regularly report back to a boring wizard who uses a lot of words to exposition tedious and\or obvious information at me

yen sid in dream drop distance talking about the mark of mastery

merlon in super paper mario talking about the light prognosticus

yen sid again in kingdom hearts 3 talking about the power of waking

this is getting out of hand now there are two of them

merlon and nolrem talking about whatever in super paper mario

I did it I drew my whole main OC cast I did this before last year back when I was still using PDN and drawing with a mouse. It's nice to get in some practice and see how I've progressed since then. And it's a nice little bday gift to me, I always wanted to see them as more than walfas stick figures!
