Leia was such a good hiking buddy! She got interested in a bush at one point and turns out it was a rattlesnake! Thankfully she didn’t get close at all and we got to observe it from a safe distance. See if you can spot it in the second image!

Hitting the hills for as long as there’s green grass for Leia to roll on! East bay nature is gorgeous this time of year. Summer means too much heat and lots of dry foxtails, but winter/spring after the rains is the best time to go. Great hiking weather and beautiful green scenery.
