NGC 4826 - From Judy Schmidt (geckzilla.bsky.social) - flic.kr/p/2iEerHS

Here's an old favorite galaxy that I'm glad to have had the chance to process some new observations for. This is also known as the Black Eye galaxy, and is among the most striking galaxies that Hubble has looked at. Previously a Hubble Heritage image release, new imagery is around 2.5 times the resolution of the old WF/PC2 imagery. That means more refined details are visible, especially If you are able to zoom all the way in. In fact, the texture of the individual stars forming even the smooth, redder, non star-forming parts the galaxy are now revealed. If you do zoom in, don't mistake that grainy, noisy texture as actual noise. Those are stars!

I went ahead and did use some old WFPC2 data just to show glowing hydrogen gas. This usually works well without lowering the image quality, despite the disparity in resolution.

Data from the following proposals were used to create this image:
PHANGS-HST: Linking Stars and Gas throughout the Scales of Star Formation
The Smallest Nuclear Black Holes

Red: WFC3/UVIS F814W+WFPC2 F656N
Green: WFC3/UVIS F555W
Blue: WFC3/UVIS F438W+F336W+F275W

North is 142.85° clockwise from up.

I was worried about all the details, but I think I did good! I really should have more confidence in myself, haha . . . #furry #furryart #furryartist #anthro #anthroart #anthropomorphic #art #artist #drawing #smallartist #practiceart #guidebook

Drawing the skeletons has been hard... but I guess all of this has been hard in some way, haha After all that, I don't think I'm quite ready to try and finish the paws just yet... 😅 . . . #furry #furryart #furryartist #anthro #anthroart #anthropomorphic #art #artist #drawing #practiceart #guidebook

Skeletons are hard... But I'm confident I'll do well!! I'm actually quite eager to give this a shot - something this new is kind of exhilarating, haha . . . #furry #furryart #furryartist #anthro #anthroart #anthropomorphic #art #artist #drawing #smallartist #practiceart #guidebook

I finished drawing the female canine, and I'm very pleased that I did both masculine and feminine !! I used to not have much diversity in that field, but I'm happy that I'm getting better at both ☺️ . . . #furry #furryart #furryartist #anthroart #anthropomorphic #drawing #practiceart #guidebook

P.s - I think I'm being a bit hard on myself with schedules in my life, so I'm going to update my page to say "every *other* Friday." I don't want to force art but I also want to be consistent. Just wanted to let y'all know! ❤️

Time for the next page! Going from masculine to feminine is a bit difficult, but only because of how vastly different the builds are, haha. We'll see how this goes . #furry #furryart #furryartist #anthro #anthroart #anthropomorphic #art #artist #drawing #smallartist #practiceart #guidebook

Just a heads up this time: I won't be posting anything next Friday (26th), as I'll be taking the week off to celebrate Christmas. My next post is planned for and should be up January 2nd. P.S. I'm thinking of drawing from the guidebook again Anyway, happy holidays, everyone! ❤️

Hey! Sorry for the delay. Here's Nick Wilde this time to finish Zootopia's duo ❤️ I was definitely stumped trying to figure out how I wanted Nick to look and pick out colors for him, and I did my best to draw him out the same way he looked in my head . #zootopia #nickwilde #anthro #anthroart #artist
