One of the smaller, but important, additions is support for multiple SSVC views alongside CVSS. When SSVC information is available from an ADP (such as CISA) , or from additional sources such as GCVE, it is now displayed by default.

This allows users to more easily compare the different severity and prioritization assessments associated with a vulnerability.

This kernel vulnerability looks interesting to look at. crypto: caam - fix overflow on long hmac keys VLAI Severity -> High (confidence: 0.9638) vulnerability.circl.lu/vuln/CVE-202… #kernel #cybersecurity

Title
crypto: caam - fix overflow on long hmac keys
Summary
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: caam - fix overflow on long hmac keys When a key longer than block size is supplied, it is copied and then hashed into the real key. The memory allocated for the copy needs to be rounded to DMA cache alignment, as otherwise the hashed key may corrupt neighbouring memory. The copying is performed using kmemdup, however this leads to an overflow: reading more bytes (aligned_len - keylen) from the keylen source buffer. Fix this by replacing kmemdup with kmalloc, followed by memcpy.

Another cut in CISA budget for 2027, 707 million less. #cisa #us #cybersecurity 🔗 www.whitehouse.gov/wp-content/uploa…
e CISA (-$707 million). The Budget refocuses CISA on its core mission—Federal network defense and
enhancing the security and resilience of critical infrastructure—while eliminating weaponization and
waste. CISA was more focused on censorship than on protecting the Nation’s critical systems, and put
them at risk due to poor management and inefficiency, as well as a focus on self-promotion. Examples of
how the Budget refocuses CISA include:

o The Budget removes offices that are duplicative of existing and effective programs at the State and
Federal level, such as certain targeted school safety programs; and

o The Budget eliminates programs focused on so-called misinformation and propaganda as well as
external engagement offices such as council management, stakeholder engagement, and international
affairs. These programs and offices were used as a key hub in the Censorship Industrial Complex to
violate the First Amendment, target Americans for their protected speech, and target the President.
