I will also stand in solidarity with Jewish communities in the UK who have faced repeated attacks and need the support of all politicians against any forms of discrimination and harassment.

I am deeply saddened the ‘Zionism is Racism’ motion has passed. It doesn't reflect Green principles or my own view. The Green Party has long supported the principle of self-determination, and I stand by our 2024 manifesto commitment of equal rights of Israelis and Palestinians.

The breakdown of our ecosystems is a national security threat. We must put restoring nature at the heart of government decision-making. So I'm delighted that @TheGreenParty members backed my conference motion on the need for a Nature, Biodiversity and Security Act.

There are serious questions to be answered here. Did the Reform Council Leader tell the truth when he said he had not met Dennis Bacon before the job interview? Cllr David Bick must give a full account and be transparent about how Dennis Bacon was appointed. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Great to be in Bungay and nearby villages for the latest stops on my constituency tour. Thank you to everyone who came along to talk about heating oil costs, school and public transport, and river pollution.

It was great to be in Laxfield earlier this month. Thank you to the parish council and residents for showing me round the village, and the wonderful museum. Like so much of Waveney Valley, it's clear just how strong and active the community is in Laxfield.

For people in rural communities like Bungay & Halesworth, public transport isn't a luxury. It's how many people get to work, college & appointments. It makes no sense that the Reform-led council has allowed cuts to the X41. Cllr Peter Aiano & I have asked to meet council leaders to challenge the cut

Really pleased to speak at various events and propose motions at the Green Party conference this year. On Friday, I'll be running the conference's first panel alongside Lydia and Emma, discussing the defence and security case for climate resilience.

The UN warns the world has a narrowing window to restore forests, vital for food security and climate resilience. Barely a fifth of promised restoration is happening. We are one of the world's most nature-depleted countries. There's no excuse for inaction. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

Recent debates in Parliament have increased the profile of end of life care. We must use this moment to ensure the hospice sector is properly supported.

The hospice will serve large parts of eastern Norfolk and Suffolk including parts of my constituency. I'll continue to work with St Elizabeth's and other local MPs to support these crucial plans.

Thank you so much to Judi and Clare from St Elizabeth Hospice for showing me around the proposed site for the new hospice in Gorleston. We have a clear need for more hospice beds in Norfolk and Suffolk and it's great to see the plan getting close to being a reality.

It's encouraging that the Foreign Secretary is presenting this crucial report to ministers from other governments. But it's simply wrong that MPs, including those on the Environmental Audit Committee, are still being denied access to the full report.

The pupils had great questions. One asked, "Why did you become an MP?" My answer: I grew up here in East Anglia, I care about our community and I've cared about the environment since I was at school myself. I wanted to make a difference in politics by helping bring about positive change.

After much reflection, I decided to continue to support the Bill, as I believe the compassionate approach is that those facing a terminal illness should have the choice - and it must only ever be a choice - at the end of their life. 270 voted for and 286 voting against.

I’m honoured to be highly commended for my work on animal protection at the Nature 2030 Political Purpose Awards this week. The Government made many welcome pledges in the Animal Welfare Strategy released last year. It must now deliver on these promises for farmed animals, wildlife and pets alike.

I think that it's a core pillar of the NHS, and abolishing Healthwatch is a mistake.
051
Adrian Ramsay @adrianramsay.bsky.social · 09/09/2026
Healthwatch is the independent body that gives patients a voice on health and social care. They ask for lived experiences from patients and the public, which inform decisions made by the NHS, local councils and the Government.
162
Adrian Ramsay @adrianramsay.bsky.social · 09/09/2026
The work Healthwatch does is vital. I agree with the CEO of Healthwatch Norfolk, who said that ceasing the statutory functions of Healthwatch without a suitable alternative in place is to risk another major failing in patient safety.

Councillors and officers have spent huge amounts of time on reorganisation proposals, at the Government's request, time that could have gone into services instead. Today I asked the Secretary of State: will devolution mean real funding for local government, or just more upheaval?

There's been lots of talk of a Number 10 for the North, but we need a Number 10 for the future. Last week I asked Louise Haigh if she agrees that we need a climate protection unit in the Cabinet Office, one that drives a cross-government approach to climate breakdown.

Ending routine tail docking and castration of lambs isn't just about better welfare standards, it's about backing farmers to make the change. For this transition to succeed, the Government must fund the support farmers need to get there, not just set new rules.

Adrian Ramsay @adrianramsay.bsky.social · 04/09/2026
This week I’ve hosted an event in Parliament calling for an end to the routine tail docking and castration of lambs, a needless, cruel practice. We are calling on the Govt to follow through on the independent Animal Welfare Committee's recommendations and deliver real action to improve lambs' lives.

Climate breakdown is a national security threat. Nature loss puts our food, water, health, economy and stability at risk. The Government no longer has the luxury of time. We need urgent action and a dedicated Climate Protection Unit. We need a Number 10 for the future.
