I get what you mean. It's a tough balance because on one hand the playstyle needs to be around as a skill check for new players, but it can snowball into needing very specific counters if they're too strong.

I'm okay with this! They're combat focused, bad at sitting back and spamming, and generally the weapon people unfamiliar with the series think of when it comes to turning unconventional paint things into splatoon weapons.

In retrospect, one of bluesky's big grips being that it's "a calm safe haven away from Crazy People" was a horrifyingly white way to view a site. Like, that's not why everyone joined, it wasn't mine, but it was in the conversation enough that it should've been a red flag.

Thinking about it more, my issue might just circle back to the boring answer, the maps. Winning neutral and then getting stuck in a chokepoint (which practically all of them here do) leads to the annoying, by the books solution of throwing resources at them, which for most weapons, are super nerfed.

I'm not sure which part you mean. Is this about the liter and 52? If so, it's that even though they're the strongest guys, they don't really do anything particularly cool. Their kits do the job with a thumbs up and thats it. They rule over other weapons because those guys have the problem but worse.

Like I don't have as much room to talk as most of you. I'm not nearly as good. I haven't put the time in. But in my case, winning neutral doesn't excite me as much as it has me dreading the next fight. Knowing of course that it's gonna be even harder, but feeling like I just won't have the tools.
