If the Democrats were able to get a veto-proof majority in the Senate, they most certainly could do all of that. Just controlling the House will allow the Democrats to hold hearings, investigations, and have subpoena power. Also, they will impeach trump, just like they've done twice already.

A post from someone who actually does this type of work said that not only did they use the wrong type of adhesive, they didn't allow it to cure (it is dry to the touch in 24 hours, but it takes a full 3 WEEKS to cure). I'm sure that stupid stunt would have done a lot of damage even if it was cured.

I also believe it is likely that either Thomas or Alito (or both), will retire during the remainder of trump's term, so trump can appoint another younger, unqualified sycophant (Aileen Cannon?) and have a stranglehold on SCOTUS for decades. There are 13 Circuits, so there should be 13 Justices.
