#Trump's steel tariffs on #Mexico ignore the fact that Mexico is a net importer of US steel. Rather than enhancing US industry competitiveness, including sectors like automotive manufacturing, these tariffs are likely to cause more harm than good.

President @claudiasheinbaum.bsky.social aims to turn #Mexico into the world's 10th largest economy. Going forward, this could certainly boost the country's export base. As of 2023, Mexico stands as the 9th largest exporter in the world.
