Final rating: 4/10. Why do I care so much? Cuz the game had so much potential, but turned to be super basic. I love Zelda style games, and this one could've been one of the best. I hope the devs learn from that game and make a better one, because we could get an amazing game from them if they do!!

The upgrades themselves are not game breaking and doesnt change anything visually. So what gives? To constantly menu the change of upgrade while also changing elements in the wheel during combat is tedious. Specially during the lack of creativity that is the final gauntlet of the final dingeon.

In a way though thank god because constantly switching elements from the elemental wheel was annoying. You can hot key 2 of them but at the end you have 8 elements so you can do so much with only 2 hot keys. Oh and who had the idea to be able to equip only one upgrade at a time for the elements?

With that type of level design, it was cruel to put the dash at the 6th dungeon. Oh I guess I should talk about the elements, you know, the main gimmick of the game. They're fine? The puzzles are okay. Except maybe once or twice, it barely has any puzzles that involves mixing multiple elements.

The dungeons' level design are questionnable at best. Visually? Got no notes. Gameplay wise? What were they thinking? So much backtracking it's ridiculous. ESPECIALLY near the end. The dungeons are big and to constantly going from one end to the other end is really redudant. Puzzles are fine though.

What's the problem? You're slow, and terribly so. The game will constantly eat your input (on PS5 anyway, don't know if it's more responsive on PC) and if you try just timing your hits to be "optimal", you're still slower than most enemies. You will take damage very often.

Why? Because the moment you throw, it's hitbox will be innthe wall so it will break instaneously. Good luck now to throw it on an enemy in corridors. Also, those enemies are super fast. They'll rush you on sight (most of them) and they'll do their attack while rushing towards you.

Also, using jar or projectiles the moment you're near a wall is impossible. It's hard to tell in words, but there is no notion of "space/scale" when near a wall. Let's you're facing up and you lift a jar that is next to wall. You do a 180 and try throw it. The jar will break the moment you try.

Let's talk about perspective and hitboxes. So many times you'll swear that you could pass behind something but can't and vice versa. The hitboxes are crazy. What you see from your character is the whole hitbox. Your head will get you damage on so many things it's ridiculous.

Solution for that? Make them visually different! Don't have to be shiny or anything, just make them somewhat visible. The warp point are so weirdly placed too, to the point that going to point A to point B is faster then trying to go to a warp point, teleport and then go to destination.

Navigating them is such a chore. You have ledges that you can jump from. Others you can't. What's the difference? There is none, you have to guess. Everytime that I wanted to jump down from a ledge to continue my way but then couldn't because of some arbitrary reason was infuriating.

Ok now the rest. Not great. Keyword of the day is "inconsistent"! Lot of the design don't make any sense or is inconsistent. The world map. You have 8 biomes. That's fine but they are all built the same (except maybe the water area and lightning). They are all just mountains and caves.

Let's start with positives. The game is gorgeous. The devs nailed the pixel art and the colours are vibrant and it's pleasant to look at. For a type of game that you don't care about the story usually, they tried to have lore, Imma give them that. And the music is sweet.

The last boss is cool, but the first half is ruined by one thing (iykyk) and would have liked to see him more throughout the game. All and all, I feel it's the worst of the franchise, but it's still a good game. I said 8/10 at first, but truly it's a 7/10 imo.

Okay! Finished Metroid Prime 4, 100% items and 100% scan. What are my full thoughts? It's a good game! But not great. The desert is really obnoxious and it seperates the zones so much that I don't believe it's all part of the same world. The linearity of the zones doesn't help either.

Still not done with the game, I'm taking my time with it. I have about 8 hours of playtime. All and all, I think I prefer MP 1 and 2 over it, but is better than 3, gonna depend on that 2nd half of the game if it carries the same goodness of the first half. 8/10 (could change in the futur)

Ambiance and atmosphere is off the roof and I love it. Especially love what they've done with the silence and sudden appearence of music. The desert being silent though except if you have a 30$ amiibo is dogshit, it should be talk about more, it's an atrocious practice! Fuck the desert.

The power ups are kinda more of the same but with a twist on them. Without going into spoilers, but I kinda like what they did with the beams, but the missiles are weirdly clunky now. Sadge. The motorcycle controls well and fun to use but sadly, and I'll say it again, fuck the desert.
