My thoughts for this piece came about with the phrase "It Takes a Village to Raise a Child". In a way, trans folk make that village ourselves. Whether the family we were given accepts us or we find that new family that will love us for who we truly are. It starts small, but soon you have a village of folk who will love and support each other through everything that comes their way. I'm still working on it personally, but I wouldn't be here right now without the village I got so far.
at the bottom is a more comical note, stating, "Also, I hope shirtless non-op trans men are allowed. I can censor it if need be but it was important as a non-op transmasc myself."

Earlier this spring, I got word of a Trans Zine for my home state organized by TENT, and I was so happy I had enough time to speedrun a little something for the zine! ✨ I called this one, "It Takes a Village" Very proud of how things turned out, hehe~ #art #digitalart #illustration #transtexas
