Pics from our panel 'Using Hong Kong's Past in History, Historiography, and Comedy' at the British Association for Chinese Studies annual conference in Leicester last wk, featuring Wayne Wong (Sheffield) and David Clayton (York). We did have one more panellist but she couldn't make it unfortunately.

Had a fun afternoon on Tues, speaking on a Cantonese panel w/ Doris, @adonismyli.bsky.social, Florence & Charles on our work on the New Documentary History of HK. The talk was hosted by Lion's Ink Book, which has done so much on the outreach of HK history to the public. Thank you Lion's Ink!

Shoutout to whoever granted me GOAT status in their module evaluation form!
Screenshot which reads "Seminar materials were all facinating, and Adonis was the G.O.A.T. The weaving of humor and fun facts that arn't all that necessary into the lectures helped me stay engaged and focused. Although I didn't like it in the preparation process, I've since come to relise that the presentation assessment was great at building confidence in me personally, and it was a really effective way of getting me to get the deepest possible understanding of my favourite topic"
