Got my late father's Bulova Accutron Spaceview repaired, so it works again for the first time since the 1970s. I remember him letting me listen to it hum during bedtime stories. Geek chic?

With a final touch, the insertion of a stiffer spring for the ESC key – a nod to the resistant Reset key of the Apple ][ – I think I have achieved keyboard perfection. That was quite the rabbit hole. • Bridge 75 base model board • Huano Caramel Latte switches • GMK CYL Extended 2048 keycaps

Not really: it's a look back at the Corbyn/Brexit period. Of course the real inflexion point was earlier so maybe everything was on rails by that point. But it's interesting to speculate.

Bought an old Mk I Bowers & Wilkins "Zeppelin" as a speaker for the kitchen, revitalised with a Raspberry Pi and DAC header into an audio streaming client. Basically a fine speaker but with a bad bass 'boom'. Easily tamed, though, with the DSP available with piCorePlayer. #GeekVictories

I have this lovely recording on SACD (but no SACD player any longer). It really annoys me that UMG haven't made it available for streaming in the high-resolution format they must have (even if my ears probably can't hear the difference) #FirstWorldProblems
