With #CiscoLive around the corner...are we just going to pretend X doesn't exist or will people be using it during the conference?

Hot take: The "skills shortage" in IT isn't real. There's a shortage of companies willing to train entry-level talent. I learned everything on the job 15 years ago. What changed?

Well, stuck in the Phoenix airport for 7 hours until my red eye back home because my first flight was delayed. I guess I should be productive or something.

(US)NUA is able to maintain vendor neutrality by approving presentations ahead of time and implementing a soccer style card system to boot a vendor if they slip into "sales mode". #NFD37

I’m seeing all the posts start for Cisco Live Amsterdam I have a serious case of FOMO. Amsterdam is on my bucket list for sure.

Does anyone have a solution to support a heavy 1RU network device that should be installed in a 4 post rack but all you have is a 2 post rack? I can’t use the rails it comes with but just using the ears is really suspect.

I don’t consider Bluesky to be THE platform until Cisco Live chooses it over X for all their social media tracking and posting. It’s my benchmark.

The garbage people left a Christmas card on my trash can today. Now I’m afraid throw it away incase they see it in the trash. Would it be unethical to throw it in the neighbors can? I might be over thinking this.

I got asked if I was a “full stack” network engineer. Is this a thing? I get what they are trying to say but…I don’t like it. 🤣

1/2 After much consideration, we have decided to separate from our parent podcast @artofneteng.bsky.social to continue our growth journey. We are deeply grateful to @noblinkyblinky.bsky.social, @adjacentnode.com & Andy Lapteff, for providing us with a launchpad and unwavering support.

I'm still trying to figure out if I should be active here or on IG Threads. There's definitely more networking people here, but more people in general on Threads. ugh I hate social media.
