The Observational Dad @adj-sup.bsky.social · 09/11/2025I recently test drove polestar. It’s not a bad EV, but way overpriced for what it is. It was not as comfortable to drive as a Lucid, so if you’re going to spend that much on a car, just step up to a Lucid Air Pure. And the SUV wasn’t impressive for the price, I will wait for the Rivian R2. 020
The Observational Dad @adj-sup.bsky.social · 08/11/2025When in hairy or complex driving situations, I imagine most drivers turn FSD off or the system automatically hands controls to the driver, so of course there’s going to be fewer incidents per mile because it’s not on in tricky situations. 010

The Observational Dad @adj-sup.bsky.social · 15/10/2025One can only hope they’ll make a “spinoff” video game from the show if it’s successful, haha! They always stop making sequels to all my favorite games, or they just lose sight of what made the game good. 000
The Observational Dad @adj-sup.bsky.social · 10/10/2025Didn’t read the article but watched ~10min of the opening gameplay and was completely uninterested. Seems like a compliance story mode just to capture people that prefer single player (such as myself). Not having single player was a criticism of 2042, so it’s disappointing that it’s so mediocre. 000
The Observational Dad @adj-sup.bsky.social · 03/10/2025Congrats! Been listening to you since your OXM days. You have become an iconic voice in gaming media and it wouldn’t be the same without you. You are one of the few people I listen to, not just because of the news you cover and shared opinions but because of the humble and kind culture you create. 020

The Observational Dad @adj-sup.bsky.social · 11/02/2025I remember a time where there were playable game demos for just about every game. That was one marketing trick that really worked on me. Where’s the petition to bring that back? 010

The Observational Dad @adj-sup.bsky.social · 01/02/2025I don’t usually encourage food therapy, but today, I’m going to allow myself to have a “doomsday” meal. That may sound dark, but it’s important to keep a sense of humor in dark times, even if it’s dark humor. What would you eat if you knew you had 1 last worry-free meal? Take time to cherish it. 010
The Observational Dad @adj-sup.bsky.social · 29/01/2025No matter how busy or dark your days may be, carve out at least 5-10min each day for some self-care. Currently, I use my tea time at breakfast and dinner as an opportunity for some mindfulness meditation. What’s your favorite #self-care activity? 000

The Observational Dad @adj-sup.bsky.social · 30/11/2024Anger is a secondary emotion. While it’s a valid emotion there is always a primary emotion hiding behind it. Learning how to cope with your primary emotions will help prevent you from becoming angry. While coping skills for anger are good, they are not addressing the source of the issue. #emotions 010
The Observational Dad @adj-sup.bsky.social · 30/11/2024You ever get frustrated when your toddler asks you to read her 5-page book for the 50th time? Yeah, that’s your issue & not your child’s responsibility to manage for you. Don’t dump your emotions on your kid. To her she’s just so excited to have your attention. Cherish that 51st reading. #parenting 000

The Observational Dad @adj-sup.bsky.social · 28/11/2024Data driven businesses use KPIs & metrics to make decisions. KPIs drive behavior and behavior drives metrics. If you have bad metrics, it’s likely that you have bad KPIs. Stop blaming the employee and start understanding the behavior behind the metrics. 000
The Observational Dad @adj-sup.bsky.social · 28/11/2024When validating the feelings of another, it’s best to do it from your perspective and not by assigning emotions. Example, instead of saying: “You sound frustrated.” Try saying: “If I were in your shoes, I’d feel frustrated.” 000
The Observational Dad @adj-sup.bsky.social · 28/11/2024The quickest way to de-escalate someone is not to tell them how they should feel (“calm down”) but instead to acknowledge & validate how they are actually feeling in that moment. 000
The Observational Dad @adj-sup.bsky.social · 28/11/2024Parents are often so quick to try to make their kid happy when they are feeling sad. Often this teaches them to run from their emotions and that some emotions are not okay to have. Instead let’s help them learn how to process all their feelings and find productive coping skills for them. 000

The Observational Dad @adj-sup.bsky.social · 25/11/2024Why do airlines tell you to put your oxygen mask on 1st before helping others? Bc if you’re passed out, how can you help those you care about? Not so obvious lesson: no one is coming to put your mask on for you. You need to prioritize your self care to have the capacity to care for those you love. 000
