You can also get an official Spewpa T-Shirt at pokemoncenter right now btw!

They did more individual Forms than I expected! A lot of Vivillon are unique artworks, same with Furfrou. Only for the Flabébé-line they're mostly just recolors of the same pose. ....even Xerneas "Neutral mode" got a unique artwork 😂

Best examples of the fact that including Form-names was a massive mistake. They should really just let Galarian Darmanitan be Standard without announcing it publicly before it's ready to tell the world...

My big Nintendo Direct prediction: they will shadowdrop Pokémon Colosseum on NSO, but not mention it in the Direct at all and just tease the next GC games coming to Switch xD

Should I have been doing this thread for each batch they added to the PkmnCenter T-Shirt Generator? xD I guess I will, now. They seem to add them 3 weeks apart, so Unova will probably drop on September 11. But here are some funny guys from Gen 1-3

As with every update, there might be some bugs that we missed, so be on the lookout for any issues and let us know so we can investigate and fix them. 4. We've now added a link to a Google Form for bug reports into the footer of the website, just to keep it more organized~

pkmnquiz.com Update: 1. Looks like some Pokopia characters snuck into the quiz! (typing certain names will reveal their unique characters, which will count as naming the base species, but typing those is not necessary for completing any quiz - basically just an easter egg)

Adept Charon @adeptcharon.bsky.social · 31/07/2026

It's framed as being from Pokopia (which makes sense, given this is literally a direct Pokopia tie-in for the Anime) ...but the hardcore Pokémon Sleepers know that this design already had its debut in Pokémon Sleep in January 2024! ;D

Adept Charon @adeptcharon.bsky.social · 20/07/2026

I've been chuckling for like half an hour, Disney literally made up a theater screen brand, so they can pretend that their movie plays on fancy screens, while they're locked out of using IMAX screens due to Dune Part 3 having a contract on those. Can't make this up 😂

Charizard Y is so fun, I KO it on turn one and then I just have to wait for my opponent to forfeit.

Adept Charon @adeptcharon.bsky.social · 12/07/2026

...actually, forget Colosseum on NSO, nobody cares LMAO. Instead, round up the Gen-3/GBA-nostalgia with the return of the actual best spin-off in the whole franchise: Pokémon Pinball Ruby & Sapphire!

020

Adept Charon @adeptcharon.bsky.social · 12/07/2026

This conspiracy is brought to you by me being biased and strongly craving to replay RSE on my Switch. 🤞 surely they're gonna do a summer Presents where they repeat the wave from Pokémon Day and do the trifecta of at least RS-ports, Pokopia DLC showcase, and NSO Colosseum, right? xD

130

Adept Charon @adeptcharon.bsky.social · 12/07/2026

Because it would be pretty bad if someone permanently moved their Blastoise and Zapdos out of FRLG, just to then realize they can't use them to challenge the Battle Frontier 😂 And that can be avoided if the FRLG-Home update drops AFTER announcing that RSE ports are coming.

120

Adept Charon @adeptcharon.bsky.social · 12/07/2026

If I make an exception in questioning ILCA's competency for this case; ...the only reason I can think of as to why there's no sign of a FRLG-Home update, is that they intend to release ports of the other Pokémon games from the GBA-ecosystem, Ruby/Sapphire and Emerald.

110

Adept Charon @adeptcharon.bsky.social · 12/07/2026

Obviously with these being ports of old games (Home has already been processing from the original FRLG the whole time), and the compatibility being one-way OUT of FRLG, it begs the question why the Home update would still take a lot longer than the time in which the ports feel relevant and topical.

110

Adept Charon @adeptcharon.bsky.social · 12/07/2026

For new game releases, it takes ~6 months before compatibility is added. My assumption is that this is not about the technical matter of actually updating Home, as much as it is about keeping the ecosystem of a game fresh and isolated for a good while before all the old stuff gets to walk back in.

100

Adept Charon @adeptcharon.bsky.social · 12/07/2026

But since we are now halfway through July, at which point these ports are hardly on anyone's mind anymore, the question is: Where is the Home compatibility update and what's the purpose of it taking so long?

100

Adept Charon @adeptcharon.bsky.social · 12/07/2026

...I kind of suspect one of the reasons they withheld that information for a week after opening pre-orders was specifically to gather some statistics about how the pre-order numbers were doing even before they confirmed Home-compatibility, to see if it actually is a big deal LOL (we will never know)

100

Adept Charon @adeptcharon.bsky.social · 12/07/2026

Once the ports actually released on Pokémon Day, we got the extra information that these will in-fact be getting (one-way) Home-compatibility, some day. Personally, I'm not planning on moving anything from FRLG into Home, but I know that for some this is the deciding factor for getting the ports.

100

Adept Charon @adeptcharon.bsky.social · 12/07/2026

When the Switch-Ports of Pokémon Fire Red / Leaf Green got announced back in February, a week in advance of their release, there was discourse among fans on whether these would be Home-compatible (especially due to some text getting removed from the store page), and whether that's a big deal or not.

Adept Charon @adeptcharon.bsky.social · 12/07/2026

Put your conspiracy theory hats on. Let's unpack "FRLG Home compatibility". The implication will surprise you! 👁️👄👁️
